Race is being held at:
ALLEYRATZ RACE WAY
6751 Parma park blvd
Parma hts, Ohio
44130
1000ft scale timed area viper drag track. Each lane has its own 10amp 30vdc power supply.
first annual Christmas gift exchange (that I know of).
Open to any nitro member.
What you need to participate...
1970 tjet mustang see attached picture. It is in a pit kit set. Rules for the exchange... you can only use what's in the package for building. Or the packaging itself lol. The body can be painted and customized however you see fit. Cutting or adding to the body is allowed any way the builder sees fit.
chassis should be a standard build no mods at all. Just your tuning. The member who receives your gift can then decide the future of the chassie.
The idea here is to have fun customizing the body. If your not a paint guy try some decals.
The car you send in will be a gift to another member and you will receive another members car for your gift. The exchange.
Tips/ideas
Paint scheme... Christmas cars are definitely allowed. I'm thinking maybe do a paint scheme that can be used all year long by a member may be a better way to go.
Guide pin... we are going to allow any guide pin in the build. The new autoworld metal pins in the kit are a bit thick and could potentially be a problem bottoming out on the track.
Tires/tyres... only whats comes with the kit. You may wrap masking tape around rim to get a better fit or try to make tire taller.
You may turn down front tires on a drill on sandpaper to make smaller if you like.
Armature... leave as is, no blueprint or balance. If you have to fix something because the chassis sucks, so be it. If it's just a slow arm...it's just a slow arm. Our focus here is more on trading cars. Members who receive cars should feel free to build as they wish once received.
Shims...if you think you need a shim make it out of the packaging. If you don't want to do that you don't need a shim.
Wings, air dampers ,blowers... says up there anyway builder sees fit. Sure you can cut a hole in the hood.
I've had a few members asking if I would add a class in the Christmas Exchange for racing. I've decided to run Super Stock Tjet. Most of us should have a good jump on that class coming out of the Bear Creek race.
Super stock tjet...2 cars max per racer.
Along with the exchange and class race I am open to run grudge matches.
Through out the year if there was a car you wanted another shot at..here's your last chance before the year is out.
Be respectful in calling someone out and it should be done in private message. After a grudge match is agreed on both sides it can then be posted in here , so I can add it to the events. Rules and voltage to be run should be discussed between racers and then inform me. I will tech to my best.
Cost to race is just cost of return shipping. Please include in box with your cars a note with your name, address, and screen name. Include any special details such as more insurance on return shipping or something like an extra warm up pass on your car. Also put a short description and name if any on your cars with class they are running.
I have PayPal for those who prefer that. My email is samuelbartow25@gmail.com
