Just curious, how many on this forum are using Dragrace coordinator? How many are lone wolf's, using it mainly for test and tune. Do any of you have regular races with friends or family? Thanks

Don’t have it yet but would like to.
Would require lots of help from my friends.
I’m good with electronics, soldering etc. It’s the computer stuff where I have no patience.

There's plenty of help available on this board. Go ahead and jump in. Most of my struggles were computer issues and I learned alot.

I got some software I'm going to try and crack the code to possibly use our r2d2's with. If I get it figured out, I think I can mail the computer stick thing around and will all have the same program. I'll just have to make a wiring diagram because I believe the pins will be preset for the arduino .

I hsve been really busy. My delivery van has a ford 6.0 diesel. I try to keep it under 1500 rpm, so it takes a long time to get anywhere. Diesel fuel is 5.69 here.

I have been playing with DRC now for the last few years since I moved to MN. One of the features I have added but not installed yet are small displays at the finish line for each lane which shows ET and MPH. Need to get off center and install it on the actual track.

I had mentioned to Dave (creator of drc) on the slot forum the need for negative reaction times on a red lite start. I also asked that the timing on a red lite start not be eliminated. I know people have asked for other things and he has a limited amount of time. Being a full scale bracket and stock elim racer i feel the more info on a run is a plus. Just my 2 cents.

Did you have to change any of the program writing to use the screens?

That was for you. You got me curious on running display screens at the finish.

Sorry Skillet - I have been off the grid for a bit and deeply involved building new bench work for my track. To answer your question yes program changed had to be made. Hopefully I will be doing some testing on the new track after the first of the year. The displays at the end of each lane are really nice as you can tell in a flash who won and their ET and MPH. Just the the real world! Regards - Alan

No worries. That's why we write in here just get back when you can :-)
Changing the programing is where I start getting a head ache. I know I'd like to make the segment sensors each only get triggered once. I may have to bother you in the future, I'm really liking the idea of the screens at the end.

When you refer to programing are you talking about the digital setup on DRC or are you talking about the Arduino sketch?
I noticed you will be doing some hosting on your track - great! Good to hear. I am planning on getting back into it myself however I plan on keeping things very simple. I am a believer that if you want more to get involved you need to have simple classes that are inexpensive and easy to maintain! Nitro has some great classes but they can get involved. I have felt ever since I started that the new guys like the looks of the car and not what makes it go. I think my classes will be built around that! Stay in touch via here or my email. Regards - Alan
