I sent the package via United Parcel Service to speed up the delivery. Tracking # 1z71745A6813121637
Please accept my humble apologies for not having a 4-gear ready. Please kindly remove it from the list. I'm still battling health problems and trying to catch up on every aspect of life. I prefer not to cry on everyone's shoulder about it. That's just life.
Pete/Eric donated Mr. Chevy to me. He's a good guy. That's the car I sent.
If the car doesn't make it because of customs. Just kindly send it back after the race.
No door prizes for me, thank you.
My apologies for not pre-printing return address labels. I'll eventually figure this stuff out.

My package made it to Texas today, but didn't make the race in time. It's slated for delivery tomorrow. Please kindly just send it back after the race is over.

Perfect. That was worth the money to use UPS. They have their own bonded customs area and everything. A delivery you can count on.

Ken, sorry to hear all that.
I think Jeff would be happy to run all your cars a couple times when they arrive so you can get some numbers to compare with others.
might as well make the most/best of the situation.
I think you will be surprised AND pleased.

Hey Ken I have been keeping up with them as well and I was really hoping they would show up yesterday with Rick's. It sucks but no worries I will take care of you and there will be more racing in the future. Not much we can do otherwise. Thank you for sending the cars and getting them out early. You did all you could do.

The time my cars got lost it takes the wind out of your sails. We all spend a lot of time and work on these stupid little cars and have hopes of them looking good and going fast. Then all that work goes right in the toilet and for me I lost interest for awhile. And you have no control when there late or lost or in my case Procrastination in that case then you can't feel bad or complain about it  . Hope to see your cars at the next race. |

Ken, too bad. there is no rhyme or reason as to how postal systems work anymore.
please do not be discouraged.
we all hope you can make the next race!
perhaps, with your permission, Jeff will give your cars a couple passes when they do arrive so you can at least see how they stack up.
if you would like a challenge race, and Jeff agrees, I will race you heads up with any of my running cars (two of them might be down by now).
and, please accept a sponsor prize if there is one available for you.
you deserve recognition for your valiant effort to get the cars here.
I would say that you sent them plenty early and the Postal systems let you down.
let me share, a non-Nitro group had 13 cars (for various racers) returned to one racer using a prepaid label through UPS.
the sender (race host) didn't see the package scanned and tracking only shows "Label created"!!!
so there are thirteen cars (figure the value) that are insufficiently insured and they are probably never going to get to anyone.
I know this doesn't make you feel any better and it might actually put a scare in some folks.
not my intention, but an example of everything done wrong.

Al, I humbly thank you for your kind words of inspiration. You have become a good friend. I realize that this is just a hobby. I'm still having fun tinkering. What I need to do is get ahead of the curve and just build cars well in advance of any race. You guys are very kind with event notices. I'll have to take the blame for this one. I would not want to burden the host to do extra work after the race should be over. Every host deserves a well earn rest after the mayhem. Living in Canada is a disadvantage I simply have to put up with... eh!  |
