Alight alright alright. I figured it was time to do a guessing game here at the Ice Drags. The game should be will we actually have any ice? If the 60 degree temps we've had the last few days is a sign I'd say no. What we are going to do is send a bone stock tyco 440 down the track at 20 volts. This thing is stock stock stock down to the stock 20 plus year old foam tires. To get into the game all you need to do is be signed up for the up coming ice Drags here at ITz raceway and give it a guess. The prize for this game will be a 3 gear 2010 camaro ss. Be a great prize for someone wanting to get into the PSO race but doesn't have a car yet. We will let this game run until Friday the 16th at which time we will show the time the 440 ran and the winner. Good luck to all.  |

Just happened to send a stock Tyco down the track earlier today and it ran .742, so that's the guess.

20+ year old foam tires? Wow. How much debris was left behind at the starting line? I'm gonna say .899 since it does have traction magnets to help it out some. Just a WAG.

All y'all is optimistic. I just launched the same car. 1s flat with "NOS" foam tires that have been conditioned. Give it another 0.6 to roast the foam off the line.
1.600 is my guess.

I did the same test with different results. Don't know how old my sponge tires were, but the car was not consistent, so a guess is in order.

Its hard to say without seeing/touching those foam tires. I have some that seem to have arrived by time machine. Slathered in sunscreen, I love them for what they are and the short track that I run them on.
That really makes all the difference. Still stand by my guess.
