WOW adding classes to the races is going to help us new members and average racers to go rounds and maybe win. But this will also add some more fun when some of us will start working on our cars to find more speed to get in to the faster classes. Cant wait hope this deal works out.

I'm really liking the idea of adding classes to the races as it will show us closer racing ;D

Hi Sheldon, you made it to the semi finals (final four) and lost against Jet's GTX in the heads up race. Nice Job!
Here are the semi results. I highlighted your car. The #43 was based on your # on the entry list.
In semi #1 it was #11 GTO 1.137 @ 8.63 mph over #4 Chevell Wagon !.210 @ 8.42 mph
Simi #2 it was #12 GTX 1.143 @ 9.47 mph over #43 Charger 1.224 @ 9.09 mph

I like the rules to this class but I don't understand why corvettes aren't allowed. Can anyone explain the reasoning as to why they are not.

Please don't pass this on to the National Corvette Owner's Association, but... With Super Stock rules allowing motor and other HP increasing modifications, NHRA, in it's infinite wisdom, declared them illegal for SS due to the independent rear suspension being the weak link on the 63 and newer Vette's. They did it for safety reasons. So I assume when we put together the rules for the NTRA Super Stock Class that rule carried over. Am I guessing right Sam, rickvoegelin, John??

They dont allow vettes in superstock? I've seen late 60's vettes running in ss/aa. I have a buddy running in a/s stick with a 69 vette and when he built the car he eliminated the independant suspension

in the Golden age of Superstock, Vettes ran in /SP (sports class)
GAsser Type Vettes ran as /MSP (modified sports)
Later they were lumped together.....since we were looking for a Vintage Race, Vettes were not considered Superstockers. Maybe we will review this particular rule..........New rules will are slated to be final by JAN 15 th.
In any event, if Vettes make the cut, don't look for Cobras and Panteras to do the same

Thanks for asking...........................we work hard at this, and want every one to understand the rules as well as the logic behind the rules..............we try not to set any rules that are merely our whims or personal prejudices. Personallyspeaking, liberalizing the 'no vette' rule makes sense to me........now that we see racers are choosing many different 'looks' for their SS cars.

I understand. I'm really looking forward to another mail-in superstock race. I didn't get to participate in the last one, but I would like to build some cars. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to building them though.

Hey SAM How about a build on wheelie bars again there new racers that have not seen that. Do both T JET and TYCO TYPE. Hey my shoes are clean after the dirt and the grass I clean them off some more on Phils carpet on his stairs. DEMON
