I was reading the SS rules and came across a word (Ballast) in Drag Racing what would this mean? Weight? Could be Gravel or Ballast Tanks on a boat or maybe this one Electrical ballast, used to stabilize the current flow in lamps.

Sorry. I can see how this might be mis intrpeted in an electrically operated vehicle.
Ballast refers to weight, such as lead, or brass plate. No liquids or loose material allowed.
The intent of the Stock rules was to ban Vettes and Cobras (all 'sports' cars except AMX which is legal) as well as concept cars etc.
Since that wording is on the cutting room floor somewhere, and I am loathe to change anything after I said they were final, you may run the Mako. ( we'll get you next year!!! lol)

John, You gonna unwind the copper wire off the arm and eat it like spaghetti? What brand of arm oil are you planning on using for the sauce? Bet you wished you had made plastic gears legal instead of only brass. Un-lightened at that! If you want I can send you some "wings" as the appetizer.

Thanks for your attitude. Onbviously you see the 'spirit' of what we are doing. It's a good time to thank all you guys and gals. The spirit of cooperation has really be cool and made our work enjoyable, and spurs us to want to make each event better for you guys.
If you go to front range HO (scaleracers.com) you will see a bunch of Gary and Troy's bodies displayed........ (Troy and Gary arent sponsors of this race yet, but we ware leaning on them lol!) Like wise yuo can check MEV (mev originals.com) there are tons. That will get you a start..................Dash motorsports deserves a mention too, and likely others I am missing.
I dont know if TSS hobbiies or Lucky Bobs sells bodies seperately, but you can check!
Anyone who has trouble finding a suitable body or chassis............contact me. I won't undersell anyone, as I have to replace the items at the same cost you would incur.......................but I will sell at my replacement cost, bodies or chassis to the needy. Check vendors first! They deserve your business, and they truly are doing the hobby a service and we need them to continue. I am only offering this so no one need be left out in the cold.
Thanks again Slugger, meet you at the tree!

John, I have emailed Kdog and/or Tim (can't remember which) last week and told them that I would do something similar to the gasser meet....offer a body for low et or fastest mph etc....I just can't make up my mind yet on what I want to do. I'll post up here whenever I finally make up my mind. I am working up several new things right now so I don't want to make a decision until I see a few of the finished results.
Slugger has a few of the bodies Troy and I have built....got them listed in the entrepreneurs section of his website.
Slugger, I like the bottom pic on your "Top Gun Racing Team" pic page. The Nova and matching blazer tow rig look good. I had been looking for a pic of those two bodies together to see how well they matched and didn't think to look on the Top Gun Team page until now. Really like the trailer you are using to haul the deuce too...great detail.

John, after emailing Sam tonight, I am one step closer to a decision on what to offer. I at least have it narrowed down to what body will be used, now I just have to settle on the decal package. Hope to have some finished ones to choose from in a few days.
Troy said he is in for a prize body too, like the gasser nationals, but he hasn't made a final decision yet either. He is working up lots of new stuff right now so he will have a bunch to choose from.

This is the car I just built. It runs pretty good on my track at 25 volts. I hope it'll be allowed in the SS Race. Gary built the body for me and the Blazer to haul the Nova, all the decals were designed by Gary also, OK so Gary did it all, I can't paint. Great Job Gary.
