The reason that we don't run multiple classes is that I supply all of the cars. My dad has a speed shop and every year he has a cruise in and cook out for his customers. I actually built the track for last years car show. We had 13 people that wanted to run the organized race. I had 25 afx, magnatractions and x-tractions that they could choose from. Seeing how Dad specializes in Mopars, all of the bodies were Mopars. We gave everybody about an hour to pick out a car and practice with it before we started the races. We used the bracket racing format and everybody had a blast. After eliminations there was about another hour of grudge matches. The switches that I used are heavy duty double pole double throw automotive type switches. I found them on a web site that sells parts to build monster trucks. The switches have a round handle that is about 2 inches long. If anybody is interested I will try to find the site and post a link. I mounted them in small project boxes from radio shack. So far every thing has held up fine. Thanks for the welcome. Dad bought me my first car when I was 16. It was a '71 440 Gtx. 23 years later and we still have that car. We are in the process of restoring it.
