The earthquake that some is being estimated at a magnitude of 5.8 rocked the John Force Racing headquarters and RaceStation retail store today. JFR is unsure of the total cost damages but many items from the 14-time champion’s career are a total loss. Amongst the many items that were destroyed include a number of Force’s CarCraft Magazines All Star Team trophies as well as more than a handful of the Big Bud Shootout Low Qualifier crystal trophies and plaques.
“The biggest damage is that I lost some things that hold a special place in my memorabilia. Most of the things damaged in the recent quake are material items that I can fix or be replaced,” said Force. “Some of the things, from my early days, are irreplaceable. We have insurance, but at the end of the day you can’t replace the memories that some of the lost items evoked.”
The team will continue to evaluate the extent of the damages. Force who is taking a quick break following the Western Swing at his vacation home in Tahoe was not at the California shop.

I had no idea.....................I was at work at a fire station in west los angeles, and we clearly felt the rolling, swaying motion..................dept went into the 'emergency earthquake mode,' but since we are so many miles from the epicenter did not realize the damage potential'
