Depending on what aftermarket parts become available for this chassis, it might be a cool drag chassis to build around. Looks like wide rear tires can be used judging by how narrow this chassis looks. Racemasters new "Mega G" Chassis, coming this Fall! - 24% lighter than an SG+ - 1.7 inch wheelbase - A bit over .700" maximum width, 14% narrower than SG+ - Removeable Neo ground effect mags Racemasters in the USA continue to develop and test the new Mega G chassis ahead of its planned late 2008 release

Anybody have one of these new chassis yet? I heard they come with polymer motor magnets and neo traction magnets. What I'm curious about is if the traction magnets height is adjustable.

I wonder what bodies would fit this chassis.

The new chassis/cars are great!!! And sam is right these will make great drag chassis and will fit under most all bodies even the narrow ones with a little work and most with the wide tires. The tires that come with it are not as wide as the SG plus tires. I will be doing some testing with the magnets etc. to find the best options for this chassis and will be taking a vote of what our club wants to do.We already decided to run it on the roadcoarse "box stock" only tire change allowed.

I think Box Stock with slip ons is a great class with ANY chassis! These look great and might work for narrower bodies as well...

One of the guys here has one coming soon. The traction magnets are the only thing I question on this car. I'm thinking they might having too much down force. Other than that they look like they will make a great drag chassis and I'm sure that somebody is already working on hop up parts for the car.

Trey, is the wheel base longer than the Super G's longest setting?

Sam, Yes it is a longer wheel base than the longest setting on the SG+(1.7).Not by much but there is a difference. The short wheel base version is coming(1.5 same as SG+ short). The chrome wheels look great for MM/PS The rear axle can fit under most all the bodies when narrowed up.I am kinda disapointed the front cant get any narrower than it does due to the design of the axle holders. All in all I think this chassis will open up new and interesting projects for alot of peaple.I will be using them for my Chassis on most all my cars now,the design will allow alot of mods done very easy.As far as the magnets downforce I have adusted mine up a bit and you have to file the edges like the SG+ so that takes away a bit too. My new PS bodies will be re-molded to fit this chassis as well as the original ones for the SG+.

My first test run in box stock form I had a .54 @ 24 mph. Seems like a smooth running car. Time to start modifying it

Shipsgunner, has the new G3 chassis. Looked it over some... ran it a little.. seems like it is a well done piece.. has lots of possibilities and mods are already available.. little pricey.. 74.99 for a modded car.. killer set up.. and I suspect it would work well for a drag car.. Chris

Chris, the G3's has been out for a while. You can get S/S G3 RTR chassis for around 35- $40 from LB's. The new Mega G's are going for around $30. Down side to the Mega G's is that no one has replacement parts for them yet. They do have polymer motor magnets in them with a set of neo traction magnets. The neo traction magnets are set up a little from the bottom of the chassis. The cars we ran didn't seem to have a too much downforce. Not sure what grade or how good the polymer motor magnets are. I'm going to slap an old 32 spud in mine, tap and thread the brush barrels, change the tires out and see if I can fit some different gears in it and see how it runs.

Lets Talk about the Mega G's Longer Wheelbase.... ;D I set them beside a few of the newer Hotwheels I got from Wallyworld Of course a few for the ladies... (nekkid chassis comparison) I put a 440X2 (left) and a Super G+ (right) for comparison. The wheel base is considerably longer and the chassis is noticeably thinner. Oh yeah... Fear not... that is not a factory arm.. I was testing a modified arm I got about 21 years ago... it was a bust. BTW.. Those are Neo Traction Magnets and Poly Motor mags... those are factory. Overall, I like the chassis. It's quick and nimble out of the box however, I think I would have liked to have the motor magnets lower in the car...closer to the bottom but otherwise it appears to be a winner... Just need to figure out how to get a resin bodies made for these chassis. Thanks Dan
