Psycho Sam makes the Top Eliminator Final at WDWAHO without even being there! ;D When it was mentioned on this website that I had the opportunity to race with the St. Louis racers next month, Sam asked if I would proxy race a car for him. (By the way Sam, they said yes.) During last nights monthly WDWAHO race we ended up with only 7 racers and a bye run in every class. It was suggested and agreed that "Sam" would fill in for the bye run and whoever was closest to the controller would race for him. (We decided to use Sam instead of Kim because she cuts too good of a light.) In Little Eliminator and Super Pro classes which are contested for points, everybody leaned a little harder and Sam lost first round in both. (Ya almost got me Sam in Little Elim as your car was .002 slower than mine on identical dial-in's and I treed you with a .009 to "your" .018. Close race.) Sam made his big move in our "run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough." Top Eliminator Class. Sam took out Brian in the first round with a clutch .026 light to Brian's sleepy .145. In the semi's Sam got back at me as I red-lighted at .010 with a much faster car. (What else is new.) In the finals Sam's .435 et would have covered New Guy, Chris's slower .448 with his .177 reaction time had Sam not gone .003 red. Still a great effort from afar. ... Just like nobody wants to throw the home run pitch that allows someone to break a major record in MLB, none of us present wanted to lose to a "New Guy". Thanks Sam!

Sound like a good time Phil. I'll send you the proxy car on Oct. 1st. You'll have it in time.

You going to let me get away with that "Psycho Sam" stuff? You ok? Figured you would be all over me on that one. I promise to "try" not to red light with your car.

Kim, I'm not going anywhere near the "Sweet Cheeks" thing...
The proxy car from Psycho Sam was a winner in looks only, but then again he had a lousy driver. Proxy racing works well so expect to fill in the bye runs at WDWAHO. Nobody can get upset when they lose it a proxy and it keeps from having too many bye runs in a bracket class.

We've been drawing numbers to see who gets the bye run in the first round only if there is an odd number of cars. After that you earn it, but you can only run one bye with that car for the night. If you by chance get the rights to another bye run with the same car, it goes to the next eligible person. Been working great! Man, the Sweet Cheeks thing needs to go away.
