Nice looking track! This is really a 'leg up' for one looking to get started...I am definitely interested... I would prefer to add a small section to come up to 16 feet for the since some of the guys have started using that handy measurement.
Using this track as a starting point would certainly help get me out of the armchair phase of building!

Max Trax offers a plastic Drag Strip for $563. Their straight sections are 3' lengths. This Slot Car Inc. appears to be a great deal. I really like that there are minimal joints for more of a smooth surface. Two on the longer track and one on the short track. Here is a shot of their cross section:

This is sweet. I've been lurking for a long time now, as a sectional track just doesn't cut it for me and building one is more then I want to get into. This looks like I can have a professional track in my budget! Tjet

Welcome to psychoslots tjetracer. This does seem to be a great buy. Pair it up with Trackmates budget timing system for $119 and you have a nice drag track without taking out a second on the house Sam

Thanks Sam,
The way things are going we won't be able to get seconds anymore, but at least we can have some fun racing...lol
How does that Trackmate system work? Any known issues?
Oh, and I dug into my box of tjet parts and found some old dragster front extensions. Are these used at all?
Thanks, Tjet
