Everyone will have different opinions and I am not telling anyone not to use them(shunts). I am just stating what I have found with the chassis I build and run as well as some others I have tested.Others may find different results with thier chassis and the way its built. Ragu, Gold electrics are the shoes ,springs, and shoe holders that are gold plated.BSRT makes some and I have a plating system so I will be offering some as well for the different chassis. The webstore should be open for orders in a couple of weeks when I build some stock up. Thanks Trey

Trey, I like hearing other motor builders build techniques as well as the little things that they will not build with out. I'm a firm believer in running shunts. It's just what I like. I see you like to run gold plated electrical parts and prefer them over shunting. I'm open to trying that and will get the parts the next time I place a order with Lucky Bob's. Looking for that extra .01 or even .0001 is why I like this class. Last weekend we had 9 cars qualify to try and get in the 8 car field. The 9th place qualifier missed the field by .0001 The entire qualifying field was only separated by .0200. The Week before we had 8 cars and the field was separated by .0171. So any building tips or idea's a guy throws out there that they have had favorable results with, just might be worth looking at. I see a shunted gold plated electrical system in my future for some test and tune on the track and Dyno. I like the results I've had with shunts on the track and Dyno. I'll keep you guys posted on any new findings. Sam

It's a good thing, anyway when guys have different set ups or different pet theories on going fast. Makes for for interesting 'bench racing' sessions.
