I sent out shipping information for the Fall Nationals test & tune being held on September 20th to all that entered through private message.
The T&T is optional. I do recommend it for advice on tuning your car to our track. Let me know if you did not get the info and I'll be sure to forward it to you.
Watch for T&T results in this thread.

11 cars showed up for some test runs this weekend. 4 runs were made with each car alternating cars to let them all cool down between runs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rat Rod results440GTX's .6629 @ 20.35 mph.6643 @ 20.17 mph .6702 @ 20.23 mph .6711 @ 20.41 mph  440, this car is very smooth and looks like it'll be a serious contender. Ride height is perfect. If you do anything to it, search for more power. Everything else looks good. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bondoman's VW .6898 @ 22.28 MPH.6940 @ 22.28 MPH .7093 @ 21.31 MPH .7172 @ 21.24 MPH  Ron, this car could use a little more downforce. It spun a little off the line. Once it recovered it definitely had some good speed to it. Another good thing is it ran it's quickest E/T on it's last pass. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rapid Richard .7759 @ 16.75 mph.7777 @ 16.51 mph .7810 @ 16.79 mph .7854 @ 16.53 mph  Richard, The car sounds smooth. I think it has more speed but the downforce is a little too much. Looks like it could use a smaller crown gear to give it more top end speed. Can't wait to see this one re-geared. Sent you a private message.

Wow! I actually got a car that just MIGHT be 'in the hunt'??  I'm STUNNED!  ;D OK...that's a new problem..never had a car this fast..lol. How do I get 'downforce'??  As far as the Willy's..did have that problem before..thought I fixed it last week..just may put a whole new chassis under it! Guess we'll wait and see.  On another note...hope I can have a FC, a ProMod AND a Gasser built REAL soon here! Got a new 'original' resin casting for FC..a 69 corvair! Also got a REALLY cool Gasser body I'm waiting on a 'ruling' if it's legal..should be..lol. A '70 Opel GT! Resin casting. A LOT of 1 to 1's were ran and even Big John Mazmanian ran one! ;D And of course the PM pics are posted in the PM picture post. Sam, if you find anything on that Willys, be sure to let me know. Also PM me any other advice you may have..like ideas for downforce. Ron (Bondo)  |
