whewwwwwwwwww! What a race. I'd have to say that F/C race alone was worth everybody's efforts in putting this race on. Absolutely without a doubt in my mind this F/C race was the best race all year for the NTRA. Guess I'll be cruising the mead bros. site for a Dodge F/C body . Bondoman, I went for broke warming your Rat Willys up and left it on full throttle with the wheels in the air for a bit. It cleaned out something . HOC's cars were running great and I knew you needed a miracle. Still can't believe your Willys came to life like it did. Rat A. I'm glad we went with the A/B format. I think it worked out well. Thunderwreck and 440GTX, well prepared cars that deserve a applause in their own right. The big cheese race cracked us up. It was crazy watching this race and seeing them both sputter (wheel hop) off the line then hook up. That was a great race. Pro Mod, Still lots to learn here. Most of these cars would run like a bat out of heck to half track then flatten out. Maybe taller tires are needed to get more top end from them? Thanks to all the sponsors that helped out. Slot Cars Inc. You guys are great! I'm sure Jay and family will enjoy their new track you gave them. You guys are helping out the Hobby in ways I never could of imagined. There has been such a growth for our Hobby in just the last month with all the new tracks going up that HO Drag Racing has never seen. My hat goes off to you guys. Scottman, Kdog. What can I say. You guys put out some amazing looking rides. I will have a hard time sending those cars back. It's great people like the Mead bros., Slot Cars Inc. and the NTRA that have reached folks that might have never given HO Drags a second thought. Fun, good sportsmanship, helping each other out is what it's all about. Thank you all for participating and we hope you all enjoyed us throwing on the event for you guys. Get them cars ready!!! 2009 Season is just around the corner.

It was a great event, old hochallenged would not have stood a snowballs chance if it wasn,t for the fine tunning and parts changed by SKR. true meaning of sportmanship there in Colorado. What driving even after I mentioned "RED LIGHT" these guys were chopping down that tree as if they had DEMONS chain saw. The A-B format and big cheese run then sauce grudge match just to much fun ;D

Thanks everyone ;D I had a great time posting the coverage. I have to admit my trigger finger was itchy. I would have loved to have ran some of the cars down the track but, I felt it was best to leave it to the two best Psycho Slots Dragway members with the best average on the lights. Sam & Chuck did a great job running the cars. I wish I would have had the chance to stop and read what everyone was posting during the race. The racing was going so fast I didn't get the chance. I've read over everything now and you guys had me cracking up! You all are a riot! I thought we were going to have to get the fire extinguisher out for Kdogs Pro Mod! No worries though the saftey safari had it out before I could react. Stop drop and roll Kevin! My mouse is back for now. I think it was just tired LOL! We'll be taking more pictures and getting things packed up for shipping tomorrow. Packages will be shipped back no later than Wed. morning. Thank you everyone for a great race. I can't wait for the next race in Jan.

What a blast!!! I am at the fire station and missed the live coverage, but viewed it all in order on "tape delay" Great Job Chima!!!! Great cars and nice looking entries as well... My lil pickup didnt really take three seconds did it LMAO I was afraid to add traction mags without a test track.........The car will sport magnets at next Pro Mod event. I was just happy to get it to the race this time. BTW I found thew missing mag wheel next to my computer keyboard......very mysterious goings on.... I suspect a saboteur. No, that pick-up is NOT sponsored by Mary K. !! This was a great event, the live reporting gives it a "big League" feel. What a great group to race with. See you all at the races in 2009 and hope The Fall NAtionals are a permanent stop. I liked the mix of funny cars. Some sporting the classic look (like Snake and Mongoose and Pappose's "Marine One") and others sporting the early funny car style, Like Night Rider"s. Rat Rodd is a fun class where imagination gets more latitude. Sam I'll review the results with you and make sure we have the correct winners, including low e.t's and top speeds as well. Certificates will be awarded for each category.

Thanks John. Yes, the truck did run 3 seconds in qualifying. The truck did a slow burn out the whole length of the track. I say slow but, the rear tires were doing about 1 million rpm's. I could have sworn John Force was here! LOL! Glad to hear you found your wheel. Sorry John. I have to admit, my favorite smack talk during the race was the comment about the truck being sponsored by Mary Kay! LOL! Too funny! Just wanted everyone to keep this in the back of their minds..... What would everyone think about our hosting the 2nd annual Gasser race in March 2009? No need to answer about this now. Just something to think about. We still have the MM/PS coming up in Jan and we are all still wired up from the great racing at the Fall Nationals today.

I'll pass along the sentiments from SLOTCARSINC
"it's the least we can do for a man and his family that are sacrificing so much for us and our children. We wish we could do more for all the military men and woman and over time we will".
"Seeing you participate from half-way around the world while fighting for us, we couldn't help but be touched. Even though a slotcar track pails in the realm of what you will have waiting for you when you return, we can't wait until you are home and enjoying it's use".
"In other words we're the grateful ones and say "THANK YOU" from all at SlotCarsInc.com"

Thanks to everyone involved in hosting/planning/putting on these events. Although my cars were a disappointment, I have had a great time anyway, getting them ready, and following the action of the live coverage. (The live coverage was excellent by the way!)
I have learned a lot, and I hope my future entries will be more competitive.
The winners of the viewer's choice awards all had great looking rods, and were well deserving of their recognition.
Has there been any discussion of creating a point system, and having recognition for performance throughout the year? It might be a fun idea to implement.

A points system would be fun. Points could be accumulated by classes. Something like this.
Classes
Sportsman: S/S, Nostalgic Pro Stock & Rat Rod, combined points and keep a running total for the sportsman division until years end.
Competition: Gasser, F/C & Altered combined points and keep a running total for the competition division until years end.
