tjetracer, Yeah I've run on it. I probably have over 1000 passes on it. My legal SS cars run in the 1.40's on 13.8v. Stock x-tractions run between 1.00's and 1.30's on 13.8v. At 25.6v my gasser runs .55's, funny car runs .56's and ratt rod runs .68's. The best that my MM/PS has run is .420 .
Sam, the rails are .080 and .012 high.

 hey 440 how did you get the numbers on the rail hight and do you think it is better to use clips then some type of rca jack for your controllers sam do you also want to give us your thought's on this .

Ragu, I used a set of digital mics. I opened them up and set the end beside the rail. Then just lower the mics until it touches the rail.   As far as clips vs rca jacks I've been using clips for over 20 years. Everybody that I have ever raced with and every track that I've been to used clips. |

440 is that the cabinet that they sell for track or did you build it? I built my own base to hold track on and it looks alot like yours but I made mine with a 12 inch width between the sides. I working with a friend thats in electronics to build beams to stage car et ect. that will work across the track instead of from under neath the track. This will be like real full scale cars use. I have the 1000 ft track and cant wait to finish it.

I built the cabinet myself. The bottom piece is 7 3/4" wide and the sides are 3" high. I ran a 3/4" dado the full lenght of the sides and glued them to the bottom piece, making a "H" beam. I made it out of Melamine covered particle board. Not counting the time for the glue to dry I had less than 2 hours in the whole thing. My room is 21' 2" so I made the cabinet 21'. I have some pieces that I cut off that I can take pics of If anyone wants to see them.

Demon, Each case holds 108 and both are full. I have another 20some that will not fit in the cases. Those are the cars that I don't run. I also have about 30 that are still in the package. I have about 60 runners from t-jet up to super G. Those are all HO. I have 56 1/32 scale cars also. I had a 55' 4 lane 1/32 scale track in the basement till we had kids. It went the full length of the room also.
Oh by the way it's funny that you should mention MOPAR CITY DRAGWAY. I was just downstairs taking pics for the show your mopars thread. I'll post those later.
So thanks to Demon, My track is now named MOPAR CITY DRAGWAY.

Sorry I forgot to include another case of runners. That brings the total up to about 80. I drag race about 50 of them. The rest are nascar and road racing.
