I use bondo spot putty, works pretty well. I usually have to put on a couple layers.

I also use spot putty.. 3M brand.. one tube is a lifetime supply if it don't dry up.. Like SST said a couple of applications.. due to shrinkage.. is normal. smaller supply is found at hobby shops.. Squadron Putty ,, it's green.. same stuff different color.. Chris

Yup.....I agree with the last two posts. I use the 3M brand bondo spot putty, 4-6 dollars lasts forever on this scale!

Thanks guys. I have never done any work on the bodies not even on model car bodies for the 24th scale stuff. I am going to try and see what happens. Wish me luck..

Larry, it's not too tough, just use a little at a time. You can always add more. I made my first roadster and I'm working on a 2nd one, there's some pics in the body shop section. I used putty on my mm/ps car, like to get rid of the gas door and the spoiler holes, nothing major but it works nice. Good luck, be sure to post pics of your work cuz we all love pics.

Yeah, Im going to take a lifelike Intrepid and turn it into a Stratus and I dont want the mold lines on the nose. Going to try in fill it in and smooth it out.
Is there a way to mount a non tyco body onto a 440 chassis without using those pins?

Lab81, Bud's ho sells adapters to mount tomy bodies on the tyco slim line chassis. They are called buddy clip 2. I have a JL charger mounted on a 440x2 chassis, and it works great. I can post a pic if you like. To mount a Life Like body on a tyco you could use the clip and put tomy mounts in the body.

Hey 440gtx, that would be great. I want to slam it down as far as I can.
