In the gasser rules it says the chassis maybe “ day-lighted’ . Could I have a definiton please of day lighted. Thanks

"daylighted".. you MAY open up the sides of the chassis.. incorporates lightening of the chassis as well as air flow to cool the arm.. My gasser chassis has a 1/8" hole drilled into the sides of it.. If you don't feel comfortable "drilling" then don't worry about it.. drag cars don't run long enough to really generate much heat even our gasser class.. not so sure an unlimited would in the .?? it takes to run the strip down.. we allow it more as a way to lighten the chassis, be careful how much you remove.. chassis warpage and flex can be an issue.. the extreme version of "daylighting" would be removing all side material between the magnets....down to the armature "pan". A definitions page is in the works too!
