I got the cars out for the next race. They are all running good now. Maybe someone can tell me what happened here. I switched bodies on one of the chassis and picked up .1, a full tenth, and 3 MPH, no tires were rubbing??? Are the gremlins in action again??? I won't tell what was switched as I don't want to give away any magic potions or upset anyone as they might like the body that was removed!!! That body had won a class in the past, go figure. Some bodies do seem to slow the cars down. Seems like the ones that are especially tight on the chassis or very heavy, have the worst impact.

Bluesguy it seems the cars do have a mind of their own and are probably hiding somewhere in the mountains of Tennessee. The weather has turned colder so they will probably go home now. The mail has really gone down hill lately. Used to be we rarely had a problem. I have had packages go completely in the wrong direction before returning to where they belong. It sure does seem that the postal system has gone down hill fast. It a shame that poor service has become accepted and expected. In the past my packages to Knoxville would get there in one day. This time it took nearly a week. Most of it spent sitting in the Greenville distribution center. It seems like my package to England got there faster than the cars return trip from Smoky Mountain.

Bill are you changing the pictures in any way before you post them? I've noticed if you shrink the picture to just have what you want to show it does that to me. If I post the original it goes through no problem I haven’t used any photo hosting sites since photobucket put the screws to everyone. Most of the pics I tried were not cropped but I did try cropping one. Normally photo need to be reduced to large, since actual size is usually too big. Today I even tried med and small.

Been trying to post pics the same way that I always do but the site keeps telling me the files are too large. Its supposed to accept files smaller than 1MB these files are only 117kB and 103kB. Tried iPad, iPhone and just to make sure it wasn't an apple thing tried desktop. looks like problem is in the forum.

Crew arrived today. A welcome guest road in with them.
Wonder Woman looped her golden lasso around him and got him to give up all of Rick’s speed secrets.
Attempted to attach a photo but the forum would no allow. Keeps saying files are too big, even though they were downsized as small as possible.
Rick or Dave, if you’ll PM Rick’s new address, I’ll send him home.
Any clues on how to get the pics posted?
Bill

So my transporter seems to be going in circles in Knoxville. My driver probably found a strip club. Let's bet on whether the missing Corvette is in my transporter. Tracking just says arriving late. Mike Don’t know if Ricks Vette could be in your box or mine, either way, if it is, his procrastination mojo is certainly with it.

The boys may have to quarantine if you send them. They may not like that too much. When they get here, I'll see if I can pull some strings and get them vaccinated with some 'shine'. Lot's of it being made in them thar' Idaho hills next door . GOOD DEAL. THAT STUFF WILL KILL ANYTHING!

2 in each class Gale and thanks for hosting the event. I am sending Bill and Sams Bazooka friends to you for your race. I think they blew Finistauris car right off the track in the last race. The boys may have to quarantine if you send them. They may not like that too much.

Thanks Bill for joining in! You are signed up at numbers 5 & 6 for each class.
* Not sure what you meant by the "2nd slot".
At the time I submitted my request, Rick was the only one I saw on the list, so I thought 2nd place was open.

FYI: definitely not with my package. Did you check with the bazooka boys to make sure they aren't out joy riding? Wonder if the new track mascot might know anything about it? After hosting a live oval track race in the basement of my old house and found a Super II car stuck to the side of the washing machine. Asked all of the participants, but nobody claimed it. Interesting side note that I didn't think of till afterwards. I lived in Delaware at the time and Bob Lincoln of Wizzard fame raced with us frequently. Bob's team was pitted in the laundry area. I often wondered if he may have left that car there intentionally.

Hairy Canary, Rick, is missing his Pro Mod 69ish Corvette silver with a black stripe. See page 1 of the race report in the Pro Mod section for a picture. I probably packed it in the wrong package. If you get it let me know and I will take care of shipping cost to send it to Rick. Dave FYI: definitely not with my package. My cars seem to be wandering around in the netherworld of the USPS. According to tracking they have been in Greenville SC since Thursday. Guess they're playing NASCAR doing laps around the carousel. Hopefully I'll find an extra Vette in my box which will be promptly returned to Rick.
