Thanks for the explanation. Had thought that it may have had fibers in it like fiberglass, to make it stronger. I would imagine that successfully completing a design would be very satisfying.

For those of us who are not up to speed on 3D printing, would you please explain what filament is?

The crew came rolling in from Texas today.
Man those Hairy Canary bodies look super! You are perfecting your craft.
Perhaps we should hold a Hairy Canary Challenge, with all of us sporting HC bodies!

Thanks to Jeff for his efforts on running the race and for posting all the updates. It was fun to check the progress and see how my first attempt with a car that hadn't seen much track time (I tracked the current draw at a constant voltage while I ran it unloaded between making tweaks). I wanted to ask about how the reaction time works as I'm going to be setting up a timer on a 1/8-mile strip for testing (also, any additional tips are welcome for next time). My reaction time seemed pretty slow, so I'm not sure if the software already knew me, if my car needed a tap to get going or if it was something else in play. Thanks again, it's fun to reconnect with something that goes back to receiving an AFX set for Christmas 1973. An article/discussion on reaction times would be very interesting and informative. You young men got your sets for Christmas of 73. My Sears catalog set arrived Christmas of 68. Drooled over that set in the Christmas catalog for months. Also got a Hot Rod coupe and roadster that same Christmas. They remain some of my favorites to this day. Bought many cars and a race set from the Sears, Pennys and Wards Christmas catalogs for my boys over the years. It’s sad a that they are all history now. Always look forward to those catalogs.

Adam, well deserved best of show award! Competition for that trophy is every bit as tough as it is on the track.
You Nitro Slots guys really build some beauties!

Was looking at the times of the 4GSC and Gasser car and got to wondering how they would fare against each other with voltage being equal.😎

Thanks guys! Good run Dave. Have to keep Christine in the rear view mirror, to keep an eye on her. Those red headlight will strike fear in anyone. Have to thank Steve. STR sure put a strong motor under the hood of that Challenger! Great event Jeff. Forgetting to update the names seem to be a good luck charm😎 You didn't need any luck....that car is a BEAST! I'm doing the screen pics for the first time this race. So I'm still getting used to doing that. Funny you should say that, since the Challenger’s name is Lucky. You may recall that that car was won in one of the ET guessing games.☘️

Just after teatime here in the UK, but that brisket does sound appealing! Congratulations on that TQ Bill, may it carry forward to the races. Unavailability of suitable hardware for these specific classes prevented me from racing with you all. However, like Clive, I look forward to following the excellent race coverage over the weekend. If you and Clive get together and let us know what kinds of hardware you lack, we’ll make certain to get some to you!
