Actually, all it says on the bottom of the chassis is: "1965 CHEVROLET Impala", "USED UNDER LICENSE", and "MADE IN CHINA". This is the exact way the lettering is molded in, including capital letters. So, really think it's gonna be pretty much impossible to track down which one of 1000's of toy companies over there made these. I will say this, even tho it is just a pull back toy car, whoever made this over in China did an unbelievably NICE job of getting the detail accurate! ;D Actually, the one I was working on (and stopped on for now) was being modified to fit on a 4 gear chassis. I am kinda in a dillemma tho...I wanna go nuts and put a wing and a blower on it, but kinda thinking maybe do a 'stock' or close to 'stock' body and cast it too. Whatcha think? Any suggestions? Ron (Bondo) Do both ;D

Thanks guys. I've just taken a year off from slot car builds. I feel it's time to start again. Got these two chassis today, need to figure out what bodies to do for them now?

Thanks guys! Peter it is a rattle can paint job using Anodized blue(think transparent, or tinted clear coat) over a silver base. So the more coats of blue the darker it gets. If you go back in the thread and find the two tone Ford wagon, the Candy red is another Anodized paint. To get the Candy look you have to use a gold base.

Hey Dave, you really got the metalic look good. Been using gold & silver since paint ran on first model long time ago. Just started playing with different shades of grey & white. Black yeilds some intresting colors too when used for base and sprayed with translucents. ..........................good luck at the races, Peter
