The bodies are off-the-shelf Johnny Lightning styrene. The S/S tire rule says maximum .215" wide x .460" diameter . . . so Grumpy selected .213" x .458" just to be on the safe side <g>.

The Blue Man Group (as Demon calls them) are Preiser 1/72 scale mechanics. I bought them several years ago online from Renauld's Euro Imports -- they sell lots of model railroading supplies. The prepainted figures are pretty pricey, but Preiser also offers unpainted figures that are reasonable if you're willing to paint them yourself. They're injection molded styrene, so the detail is sharp and they accept most paints, unlike the bendy polyproplene (?) figures from Airfix and Heller.
