Hi everyone, Newb here. My wife got me this set for Christmas, ant to be honest, it is the first slot car anything I have ever owned. I do a little full scale drag racing and this was a must own for me. I have the 2 Force cars that come with the set as well as the Jegs and Nitro Fish Pro Stockers. The force cars are pretty close, John's is about 1 car length faster than Ashley's (of course). There is a huge diff. between the 2 Pro stockers, however, probably 8-9 car lengths. Is there anything I can to to speed the slower car up? I have been cruising Ebay looking for more drag-style cars and it is a bit overwhelming for a beginner. With all the diff chassis out there, its hard to pick one. Any advice on which to start out with? I'm looking for 2 equal cars more than anything.
Thanks!

Take a good look at the slower car, make sure there is nothing binding up on it. Who knows, you may have gotten lucky and got a real fast one. I have all fourteen cars but have not sent one down the track yet. I hope out of this many I will have one or two fast ones.

The other three are pretty even. I even ran it down without a body, but no difference. One thing I did notice, on both Pro Stockers the wheelie bars dragged. I had to sand them down a bit to keep them of the track. It will be interesting to see the differences in yours since you have the whole set. I can tell this can be an addicting hobby, though!

Letting the cat out of the bag. I have been working on a timing add-on for the AW, NTB raceway for Slotman55. He brought over his track so I can add reaction time, MPH and ET. I’m not trying to split the tree because that would really complicate things. I’m about half complete with programming the Micro-computer and at this stage of development I can’t estimate the cost yet. It would be a small plastic box with a 4X16 LCD readout that would set next to the track. If there is enough interest in this add-on I would consider producing these for sale. Please post on the site if you would be interested. MrWizard Depending on price I would be very interested.

I actually talked to the editor about covering 1/24th scale drags and they are coming out to the track since 75% of us guys here at mount holly race 1:1 cars too

I got my Valvoline F/C today. All I can say is, the body is a brick and the chassis is a turd. This chassis is 3 tenths slower than my older AW 4-gear chassis. This thing really needs some work.
