Orlando, Florida
WDWAHO Raceway resembles an old country drag strip and is still up and running. Timed length is 8'-9" which equates to a 1/75th scale 1/8th mile drag strip. Actually it's a 16' long Fulltiltspeedway.com routed, two lane oval track with a couple curves added into the drag strip return road. Timing is by TrakMate for both the drag strip and the oval track. Track power is by two Gilanko 0-20 volt power supplies. One for each lane and both set at 13.8 volts for tight racing as low voltage makes for bearing friction keeping the cars a little inconsistent and keeps the "tunner" in the picture so it's not a reaction time only competition. It's at my house close to Walt Disney World and SW. of Orlando.
Richard Stetson is our 2013 Season Champion and some of you may have heard of him for his 1:1 dragracing job. He's been the starter at Orlando Speedworld Dragway for the last 33 years. You watch the tree come down that many times and you CAN cut a light..
This is our 9th year of racing. January 28, 2014. I used to be active on Nitroslots but currently have my hands full with 1:1 racing and our business that has started going nationwide. Wish I had more time to devote to 1/64 but at 65 I know I've only so many more years to hit the full size tracks. Have fun, I am.

OK guys I know there are more HO drag tracks out there. The reason for this section on NITRO SLOT is to promote HO drag racing. Think of this, there might be someone in your home town that has a ho drag track and you might not even know it. Post a picture of your track and stand up and show us where your from. Im sure you will meet some people that love HO drags and would love meet you. When I got into HO slot drags I checked on the Internet for other HO drag tracks around me and the only one was 100 miles away from me. Well let me tell you it was a very nice surprise to meet the owner of the track and get invited to come to one of there races. The owners name is Phil Trover. All I can say great track and great people race there. Step up guys let see more tracks posted you wont re-great it. swamper Randy H

I know there are more Randy. AW is selling quite a few Drag sets so this is a great place to post if you want to meet folks in your area to possibly get a club started. This forum is know for the proxy group and that is great but I'd much rather here about new clubs getting started and guys getting out there and pulling triggers of their own.

I'm workin on it! ;D Hopefully I can get some more guys here interested on Saturday. Gotta do a toy show and I'm gonna bring some of my cars, a few newsletters, and a sign up sheet to see what happens. I WAS in the process of finishing my track but that got put on hold, while I wait to see if they're gonna move me to another apartment, due to all the past water damage in mine. If not for that, I woulda been REAL close with mine! Maybe by gettin a few more people involved, we could setup something at one of their places. Ron (Bondo)(
