I am now getting times on both lanes. Most of the time it will start but at the finish line will not stop. It is very hit and miss about every five runs I get a time. It is still good enough to help dial in a car. I just consider it part of the break in process. Hey it's all fun.

correctly installed reed switches are VERY reliable. It was posted earlier that there's 2 types of switch (for any type), normally open (designated NO) and normally closed (NC). This could make a difference to response. It is also recommended to install the reeds so the gap in them is vertical ie the two internal contacts are on edge relative to the track surface. Other than that, mount them up against a power rail (inner side) and make sure they're held in place securely. Re check all other electrical connections, if anything looks remotely suspect, fix it up. A Tomy Turbo is one of the best cars to set off a reed, so if it doesn't work with it, something is amiss. Hope it all comes together for ya, definately worth the effort
