Peter it is a 71 Road Runner F/C. Looking forward to seeing that Deuce Coupe. Jeff came over to the shop Friday to pick up a few things and I showed him my deuce coupe. Not new I have had it for years. Mine fits the Super G+. I have a Vicky that I have been working on for the 4 Gear. It will be an altered.

Here is one of my 55 Chevy bodies. This one features Grape Pearl paint with purple metal flake. The pictures do not do this car justice.

Thanks Tom and Peter, I bought the metal flakes or (glitter) at Hobby Lobby. I do not spray it on. I tape of area I want brush with a binder and then sprinkle on. The flakes need to be ultra fine. I then allow binder to set and dump off the excess. I then coat again with binder. This holds the flakes in place. Then I clear coat several coats until smooth.
Peter I use a silver base coat for the grape pearl. However if I was painting say black I would just shoot black. Then tape and follow what I said above. Oh the binder I use is Pledge Floor Care. It is the old Future. It can be bought at Walmart. It dries in 20 minutes, tough stuff.

My mistake was thinking I had same paint...... color I have is candy grage........ was thinking you did it over black.......... grape pearl is total different shade....... have to look for it....... Time to repaint my Dodge Neon MM/PS. Gotta make it look good for the race. My cars don't seem to do to well at high altitude. New car for a new track maybe my luck will change.

Robert, the 55 looks great! Love that color!!! I used to use Future to clear coat my cars but it started to yellow on them so I quit doing it.But then I didn't clear coat of that, ever had that problem?

Thank you, no I have not had that problem to my knowledge. I am not clear coating with Future. I am only using it as a metal flake binder (adhesive). For this purpose it works nicely.

Busy day today, gotta set up the track for test and tune. Thought I would cast some Bronze Gears as prizes along with bodies and tires. The gears will come as bag of 8 gears. Whoever gets them just think of yourself as beta testers.... ......for Eagle Racing.

Success... ...I think this is cool. I just completed my first design on Auto Desk. What was it, inquiring minds want to know? A Slot Car Wheel, for my silly foam tires. Now all I have to do is slice and dice it, create a point cloud and send it to the 3D printer. I have not learned that part yet, so stay turned....
