Here is my latest design with AutoDesk CAD program. I wanted a new front wheel narrowed for an o-ring and recessed for the stainless wheel inserts I like. These are 3D printed wheels.

Hey Rob, nice detail to the insert (what kind is it ?). Looks like you've been busy busy busy.......... Peter Another question, when things were unpacked one item in the pile of goodies was an EAGLE RACING resin body (thanks!). A 69' Camaro, mounts in body do not line up with anything I've tried so far. Was wondering if mounts were for a specific chassis. Looks like they could snap into location for body clip. Can always move or change, just being curious. ..................tia, Peter

Thanks for the info, Rob.
How many different size wheels do you have plans on doing ? Any guess at an ET before the assembly line starts to roll ?

Thanks guys, Peter I have not really thought about how many. I know that I want to do some wheels for slip-on tires as well as what I am now making.

Rears to fit the inserts would be cool.

Quick up date on what is happening in the Eagles shop here at the Blacktop. 3D printing is a primary focus. I am trying out different designs for slot car parts. My biggest project in 3D printing will be a new chassis design for my motorcycle. Some of you saw that at the Blacktops last race. That chassis is made of resin. It is cast in one piece. Since my 3D printer also prints in NYLON the new chassis will be made of nylon. I am very excited to be able to design a new chassis ground up for slot car racing. There will be lots of trial an error. I am positive it will be mostly error....

I was wondering if you every thought about using the body off of a Hot Wheels Fright Bike for one of your drag bikes? I would love to see that and if anyone can do it you sure could.

Nope, never looked at it. Now that you have brought it to my attention I have. Looks cool, I will get one and check it out more, thanks. Just finished my first 5 spoke design and took a screen shot to share with y'all.

Robert is the axle hole molded when the wheel is made or are you having to drill it? If it is molded, are you having any issues with centering or straightness? 3D printing is pretty amazing stuff. I'm just wondering how exact you are able to get. Awesome work man!

Yes, Jeff it is molded in. No issues with centering or straightness. My 3D printer can print at 100 microns quickly and finer but it gets slower.
