Looking good, my next project is to add some aesthetics to my track. Did you make or buy the grandstands and buildings? I remember Sox and Martin well back in the day. Sox was one of the best shifting the old style 4 speed. Lenco style transmissions took away any advantage he had.

Dave the grandstand and all the other buildings are handmade by me. I use chip board for the structures. The outside is copy paper printed to look like real material. I use a model railroad program for this. It scales everything to scale I want to use, for realistic look. I use a glue stick to adhere the paper to the chip board and cut to size. If I remember the program cost around $50. When you start buying buildings you will spend way more than that. Here is the web address for the program www.ModelTrainSoftware.com

Dave that is the same program that I used for all of my buildings. You can custom build anything that you want as well as some prefab patterns that come with the program. Highly recommend it.

This is my new 49 Mercury casting. I finally shot some primer on it. I now need to think up a paint scheme for it. At the bottom of the photo are the tires I will build for it. They have a set of 3D printed 5 spoke wheels.

I was around when 49 Mercs actually drove on the street. It was a popular hot rod back then and until the 55-57 Chevy came around one of the quicker cars around.

I was around then to Dave, but me and the boys were busy terrorizing the neighborhood in our peddle cars....... I was King Of The Sidewalk back then..... Peter the Merc is not for the race it will be for sale. The Grim Reaper gets the honors for this race.

Working on new tire mold's for Pro Stock Motorcycles. I have read how to articles but I think I will do mine a completely different way. The mold will be either brass or bronze. The design will be made using my CAD program and then 3D printed for first test. This is when I have fun. I love making new parts.
