Time to do another drag bike. I think I will do the Army bike, I did that one time before and it looks pretty good. The chassis will be and AW Super III, although heavily modified by yours truly. It will feature one of my hand winds.

Thanks racers, the goal with this chassis is to use as much of the parts it came with as possible. The brush tubes are still original just better set screw. I use the same adjust tool I use on my Patriot's for the brushes. The pickups are thick and harder to adjust compared to everyone else pickup shoes. The shoes are polished and adjusted to lay flat on the rail for excellent contact. I went to trouble earlier to redo Tyco pickups but it is really not needed. This chassis has a 3 ohm armature lots faster than stock. The gearing is stock. The wheels are Vincent and tires JelClaw. Jeff the sneak peak I gave you on mobile phone is a different Super III chassis. That one is radical, I will show everyone that later after more testing.

Here is a photo of my latest project. I like the Super Tires. So I decided to design some custom wheels for them. What you see pictured is the Super Tire on a set of directional wheels. They measure out to a .545" diameter. They are also a pass through wheel meaning no back, for a realistic look. Since they are printed in black just add Alclad II chrome and you are good to go. They can also just be kept black. With a little clean up they finish out real nice. The ones in the photo have not been cleaned. These make a nice Door Slammer size. The wheel set front and rear will be one of the prizes for the racers.

Ok racers, here is another 3D printed wheel out of my shop. This one fits SuperJet urethane tires. The pics show one in Alclad II vs factory silver. I print these in gloss black so the Alclad is straight out of the bottle to the wheel. The center hole has not been drilled yet. The print just shows where to drill. Yes, I will drill them. Oh, I did these as prizes for the race.

Thanks Sam lot's of design work goes into a wheel for me. I am self taught with using Autodesk. It is like anything else you do, the more practice the better you get. I have the 6 spoke, a Cragar type, Centerline, directional, a slotted. The cool part is once you have the design they can be scaled to fit almost any size tire, very cool IMHO.

This is my first effort at a 3D printed car, a Corvette. I am waiting on my 3D scanner to arrive so I can see what I can do with that. I can scale by changing length, width and height, very cool. I did not print the car at my printer's finest setting as it takes a long time to print. So it is rough IMHO.
