Hey....it's certainly ok by me! I'm excited about these. We have talked about gears for a long time and to be able to print them is pretty unbelievable.....and then to have them hold up to 12 passes @ 26v is outstanding and even more unbelievable. Great job Robert! How much investment money do you need......LOL!!

I decided to redo my 64 GTO Pro Mod and cast it as a stock body. Then if I want to make a Pro Mod I will mod the stock body. This one has Super Tires tucked under on Vincent wheels.

Thanks fellows! Here is a pic of my new 3D resin printed 22T crown gear. I finished this design for the DR1 chassis and printed it yesterday.
I tested the gear in the DR1 this morning. It performed quite nicely. The material I am using is what came with the printer. I will be testing other 3D resin materials. This material is more brittle than nylon but is quite tough. The test was performed @ 20v,22v and 26v. I had no problems.

Fired up the old hillbilly kiln today. I have been working off and on since 2013 trying to cast metal wheels. I have had nothing but fail after fail. I am working with original designs. It has been an on going education. Now I am happy to say SUCCESS!! The first pic is the homemade kiln. The second pic is the metal wheel tree and the fruit I picked off it.... Now all I have to do is saw off each wheel and polish and finish it....

Very very nice cuzzo! I know that you know what I'm thinking now ........something round with teeth on it. What are your thoughts on gears after the successful wheel casts? Good job!
