I know the site is all about drag racing, but I thought some of you might like to see this.
Here is a video of my Carbon Fiber chassis on my humble road race track. My setup is .490 Super Tires, Tomy Super G+ fronts, 22T crown, 8T pinion and 3.3ohm can motor. The gears are 3D resin printed. The adjustable traction magnets are Neo 52s and make it easy to drive this setup.
Just click the pic....

Sweet! The car sounds really smooth. Nice little test track....I remember the 4 lane monster that got me back into slot cars about 7-8yrs ago.

My first purchase on ebay for N20 motors was not bad. Those motors were 3.3 ohm on my Fluke meter. That is what I have been running in the test chassis. They make great drag motors. Then they got hard to find. Everything I found was now neo motor mag with carbon brushes. The volts and the rpm were pretty close. So I said hey I'll take 50 of those.... Not what I expected. These motors make nice unlimited drag motors .7 ohm arms. So measured wire diameter, 32awg and I do like the coms. They look like no blow coms, very nice. So off comes the wire. I take a quick measurement and reference that to my wire resistance chart. I select my new wire size. I setup my Armature Hand Winder, the experiment begins. I am thinking something like a 5 ohm, maybe a little quicker. I will of course share the results....

Here is my first N20 motor rewind. I have 10 more arms ready for the hand winder.

Here is another rewind. It is a 2.3ohm armature I did for the N20 motor with Neo motor mags.

Here is a photo of a wax wheel tree in my casting flask. I will use lost wax technique and pour in my metal alloy to make these wheels. They are for drag racing. Also in the photo are a few of my bodies. Some of these will have my new Carbon Fiber chassis under them. I am redoing my web site. The alloy wheels will be shown there. The new chassis, alloy wheels , motors, gears and unfinished bodies will all be shown on the site.
