Concerning SJ racers AMX. The rear tires are of legal width, .200. Granted they are out on the axle a little, I compared the overall width of the rear axle and found it was actually the same as several other cars. The AMX is an extremely narrow body comapred to a lot of the others . As far as the color of the tires, since it can be called either a rat rod or N/PS who's to say, in theory somebody didn't spill paint on the tires. The colors do match. As far as I'm concered the car meets the rules of the Sportsman Class. TGM2054

Outstanding effort Tom, you did a great job hosting the first race of the season. Kudos to all the winners! Wood sets the bar we all strive to get to.
Looking forward to SpringNationals in May.

Congrats AGAIN Wood! You seem to be quickly becoming the "John Force" Of proxy racing! ;D BIG thanks to TGM and his 'crew' for the great coverage of this race and for all the work put into the hosting of this. Altho I didn't have anything entered in this, I WAS watching ALL the coverage! Makes me wish now that I DID enter something! And, congrats to all the other competitors for helping to put on a GREAT show! Looking forward to the next one! Ron (Bondo)

Great job with the races, thanks to you and the crew Tom. Congrtats to the winners and all entrants for making the race. Joe, good race! Sounds like we're getting closer to the top. Wood, gotta ask. Was that the same car from the last seasons last race at "Lions"? Did we have a rematch of those finals? Changing braids must have helped, got closer than the last time. Once again thanks to Tom and his crew. Had a blast again like every race before. ...............PC *****Tom, sending PM

Thanks everybody for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
We had a church concert Sunday evening so I didn't get to sit in front of the Computer and read the forum but when the concert was over my daughter read the last two pages of posts as we drove home from her cell phone. It was really pretty exciting to listen to her read round by round eliminations.
Somehow because of the results I owed the three others in the car Starbucks. Those wins ended up costing me $25 .00! Oh well, still worth it..........
PC I will post a build sheet and pics when the cars return and the Willys was a new build from the Lions race.
I too would repeat Eddiebees advise to keep at it and don't get discouraged by first round losses, it's a huge learning curve. Keep asking questions. When you can get a track with a timing system is a GIANT tuning advantage. I'm very fortunate That Blue has one ten minutes from my house. We literally make hundreds of passes every Thursday night. His knowledge has brought me up to speed very fast........Thanks Blue!

Hey Wood! Bondo might call you John Force, but I think the Professor is more fitting! You can tell by running those cars there's at ton of R&D in them. Smoothest quietest cars I've ever encountered.
