Lets get started: The first pair to come to the line are Slotfather with his Jegs sponsored Grand Am prostock. In the other lane is Pceng, driving one of the most luxurious cars here, a White Rolls Royce. Both cars stage in and activate the tree. At the green it's Pceng and his Rolls with about half a car length, but the Slotfather is coming on strong. At half track the Grand Am catches the Rolls. The Rolls comes on strong in the top end, but just doesn't have enough to turn on the win light. Slotfather gets that one. They swap lanes and line them up again. This time Slotfather is out first, Pceng trys but just can't mount enough of a top end charge to catch the Grand Am. Slotfather advance to the next round.

Next up are Jim Russell and his Mike Neff top fuel funny car, next to him is Wood with his Vega funny car. New vs old, this one should be interesting. Both cars carefully stage, the lights come down. The Neff funny cars moves first, but the Vega is right there. At half track the Vega is eating away at Neffs lead. In the lights, Wood's Vega is able to clip Jim's Neff funny car. They come back to the line and get ready to go again. This time it's all Wood, jim gives it a valiant effort but there's just no way he can run down the Vega. Coming to the line now are Joe65skylarkGS with a beautiful black Rolls Royce and on the otherside is Eagle Racing's Kendall sponsored Grand Am. They stage and they're off. eagle gets a slight advantage on the start but Joe is coming on strong. At the lights, Eagle takes it. Joe and Eagle stage up for their second race, the tree goes green and Eagle is out first again, but Joe is coming on strong. Joe gives him all he can handle but at the light the Grand Am squeeks one out.

Now we have Nosubfor3 with his Summit Racing Grand Am and in the other lane it's Kbuck with his Service Central Grand Am. They stage in, the lights come down and Kbuck is out on Nosub big time. At Nosub is catching him, at three quarter way they're dead even, and in the lights, it's Nosub taking a close one. They swap lanes and line them up again. They're off, this time Nosub isn't messing around, cuts a good light, and powers down the track to take the win. Next is Dragfool with his Tire Kingdom Grand Am on the other side is Sj Racer's yellow and white dragster. In to the beams they go, and they're off. The dragster is lazy off the line, the Grand Am is out on him,but the big hemi comes to life on the top end to drive around the Grand Am. Back to the top of the track they come. Stage them up and they're off. Dragfool is out on the rail again, but SJ has some top end with those big tires, and its just enough to get the win. SJ Racer advances.

Up to the line come Wazzer and his beautiful green and black Grand Am funnycar, next to him is JJ Wallace and his equally gorgeous Model a Coupe. In to the beams they go, light come down and they leave almost perfectly together, down through the middle they're side by side, this one is decided by the lights! Wazzer gets the first one. Back to the line they go, swap lanes and line them up. This time JJ is out on the funny car and thats all the lead he gets. just enough to take the win. Last time for these two, they stage the lights come down, they leave together, it's neck and neck all the way, at the lights it's Wazzers Grand Am funnycar by a nose.

At the light Ninja comes out first with the Cuda close behind, at the lights its the big Ford. They line up one more time. This time Eddie moves first, but it's not enough, Ninja's big Ford runs him down and takes the win.

Round Two. Slotfather is the luck dog that draws the bye in this round. With that lets bring up the first pair. It's Woods Vega vs Eagle Racing and their Kendall sponsored Grand Am pro stock. Both cars stage in, Wood is slow to react, Eagle's out on him but the Vega has some power. The Vega is able to power by to get the win in the lights. They line them up again. Wood is out first, but barely, one mistake and Eagle's got him. Wood holds on to get the win. Next up are Nosub with his Summit Racing Grand Am and SJ Racers dragster . The lights come down and Nosub is out first, SJ is right along side, at the lights, it's Nosub taking that one. They swap lanes and line them up again. SJ is out first this time, Nosub tries to catch him but he runs out of realestate before the line. That one goes to SJ One more time. They line up, Nosub leaves first,SJ is on his door handle but just can't seem to make up any time. Through the lights they go, Nosub takes it on a hole shot. Last pair for this round, Ninja's Ford vs Wazzer's Grand Am funny car. The tree goes green and Wazzers Grand Am is out first by a hair, Wazzer is able to pull Ninja, just a little to take the first one. At the lights again,it's close down through the middle it's close. at the stripe Wazzer is just able to trip the win light. Sorry I had to modify that post. SJ Racer was the one who raced Nosub. I went back and reviewed my notes along with the ladder board. SJ is the one who raced Nosub. It's been a long weekend sorry for the mistake.

Round Three and our first match up is Slotfather's Jeg Grand Am taking on Wood and his Vega funny car. They line up, the tree come down, Wood is a little slow on his reaction time, but by mid track he's made it up. Wood drives around him to get the win. On the line again, they leave together,Wood's able to pull away and take the win. Next up are Nosub with his Grand Am pro stock and in the other lane it's Wazzer and his Grand Am funny car. The lights come down, Nosub leaves first and doesn't look back, Wazzer tries but there's noway he can catch the pro stock. Back to the top end they come, line up, the lights flash, Nosub red lights that one away. Thats one each, they line up one last time. At the hit they leave together, Nosub is able to pull a fender on Wazzer at about three quarter track to take the win.

Last Eliminator of the day! The Winter Nationals Sportsman Eliminations. First to the line are Wazzer with his clean red 69 Camaro, next to him is Dragfool with his beautiful Monza pro stock. They line up. Wazzer is out first but the Camaro is no match for the Monza. this one is over before the half way mark. They come back swap lanes and stage. this time it's all Monza, all Wazzer can do is watch Dragfool's taillights fade into the distance. Next up, Jim Russell with his yellow Nova and on the other side is Wood and his nasty black Willys. Off the line the Nova moves first, but the Willys is right there, at half track the Willys pulls ahead to take the win. Back to the line they come, this time the Willys is out first, Jim never knew what hit him, Wood blows through for the win and moves on.
