Doesn't the car in the pic have a modification in the hood? Can my car have the same? Also if somebody uses a Lifelike body what would stop him/her from lowering it?

With seeing talk about hoods goin on. I have a grand national. I was told it was legal. The body in the link is what I have. Is it still legal with the scoop I the hood. Because looking at real life pics. It was on there. Maybe you guys are seeing something different than I'm. That bump on the hood is a factory modification available to consumers, probably as part of a turbo package. Any factory mod available to the general public is legal. This car is legal. I too will be sending this model car, different color though. Also I have a nomad body that I was told is legal. The one in the link below is what I have. Are the white pipes ok? This one I will leave to 440GTX to make the call. My opinion is though headers and side pipes do not typically come on vehicles from the factory, this is a typical consumer mod that is often done. I think it would be legal. Worse case, you could carefully cut the side pipes off and glue back on after race. I'm sure Nomads were approved as legal. The pipes are where I'm not sure. Class rules on the signup page state, no bodies with snorkle, scoop or wings. The idea was to exclude those appendages that are strictly reserved pro and semi-pro race cars. A huge Pro Stock hood intake on a Z28 not cool. A low-rise L88 hood mod on the same car okay. I guess then Im out of the race. Ninja please remove me from the race. I dont have legal bodies. I'd wait for a ruling from 440GTX. Doesn't the car in the pic have a modification in the hood? Can my car have the same? If you are referring to the GN, I don't think so. I have had this model car pass me numerous times. This is a factory mod available to consumers and your car may have the same. Also if somebody uses a Lifelike body what would stop him/her from lowering it? Risk of being disqualified. Even if the fender extends beyond the tires, lowering is not allowed. In such case the car body must maintain attitude and appearance in height as its' 1:1 factory counterpart.

Put me down for 2 entries please. Also my son and daughter would like to enter a 2 cars each. They are not able to register here as they are under 13 and were rejected when they tried to register. If they are allowed to participate, they would like to do so (my daughter is 12 and my son is 10). Please let me me know as we are going to have some runoffs this weekend to see who gets to enter which cars (yes it is a competitive enviornment here). My daughter's nickname is MadKat and my son goes by SuperCoop and again each would like to enter 2 cars. My apologies Matt. It must be one of Pro Boards rules as I have no control over the minimum age. Sam No big deal Sam, I understand even if it is/was a rule.

Tazman. I used a 55 Nomad body from AW in the first King of streets race. Like Ninjatek say's wait for Matt (440 GTX) to make the final call. If your body's are not legal than ask the host if they have body's you can barrow for the race. TGM let me barrow a Rolls body for the event he hosted a while back so I could race. Or maybe one of the members can send an extra body with their cars for you to use. I will be more than happy to send my Nomad body with my cars if you need a body. LMK

Both bodies are legal and everything that Ninja said is correct.

Hey Guys, I think having Matt's kids in the race is great. Was thinking besides the regular eliminations that perhaps we could have a "Jr. Division" run-off or something featuring the kids cars. Something encouraging for them.

hey, if they go to school and tell their friends ................
