Doing some more work on the F.E.D.'s....so what else is new. Orange/white car broke at the Final round again  . So....until some other gear options become available ( I hear Eagle is working on some stuff ), I have decided to try pinning the clusters on both cars. I also have previously been using Loctite Black Max for bonding the 2 gears together. I am now using JB Weld. I have used it forever and it has always done very well so I guess I'll see how it does here. Body for this FED is changing to Extreme Altered for this race. I am looking forward to running in New Jersey  . OH YEA!!

This is the latest edition to the garage. A Hairy Canary Extreme Altered body that will replace the orange/white dragster on my FED. Just finished it up today. Cars are loading up now and will be heading out first thing tomorrow. New Jersey bound baby!! I can hardly wait to makes some runs down Atco!! Good luck everybody.

Thought you might like seeing a Mopar. Altered is not going to make the trip after all.  Made a couple of test runs to make sure everything was o.k. Well....the car stutters on launch. Made some adjustments, but it wasn't consistent enough for me to be comfortable sending it. So the org/wht dragster lives again. I will use the Altered on my new prototype chassis in the works. Got several road warriors in this group that I've been running for awhile. Time for some new builds.

Nice looking ride except for the Mopar part.Maybe if it had a Ford or Chevy power house it would have been ready for Atco. Just having a little fun. |

OK Racers.......Barely enough time to catch your breath!!  The next event is only 23 days away!! The 2014 WINTER NATIONALS at Bear Creek Dragway will be coming at you March 7-8. This will be another run what you brung Bracket race...also featuring Gassers for all of you Tjet builders. Not much time.....so get entered, get'em built, box'em, and send'em. If you entered January's race, figure out what you did wrong ( or right ) and get your dial in strategy set. This is another great opportunity for the newbies out there that have not raced with us yet.DON'T MISS OUT!! **Reminder.......M/FC has been dropped from the race.**

Got the cars back on Saturday and just got done doing a visual inspection. The pinned cluster gear was obviously a success. All gears were in very good condition on both F.E.D.'s. Orange car is starting to get very loose though. I will probably go ahead and put some good runs in with the car just to see if the gear will continue to take it. It already has 10+ .40 runs on the gears now. As far as I know that is the most yet at that speed without breakage. Hey it only took me over a full season.  I am very pleased to FINALLY get that elusive win. Think I found out why my N/FC cars slowed down after qualifying. Will make some adjustments and test. Street cars.......well they both ran strong, but not near fast enough against the rocketships of Nosub's and SKR's. Gathering parts and materials to start on a brand new F.E.D. chassis. If everything works out, it should be able to take any abuse I can throw at it. All metal gears from crown to pinion should be hard to tear up. That's the goal anyway....and beef up the cluster shaft area as well. Eagle is getting closer with the casting, but I am trying a different route. Will share once I get into it a little further. F.E.D.'s don't run again till July, so there is plenty of time.
