IR gantries have been installed on track and they work great. Awesome!! No more lights hanging inches above the track. Added some speed trap striping to top it off. Track is complete....just need to get the paint brush out and touch up a couple of spots.Bear Creek Dragway is ready for the 2015 NTRA Winter Nationals !!

N/TF cars have been on the desk for a week or so and have been doing some component...motor swapping. Got blue car running very well and was starting to look promising until it blew the left bearing out. No spares...of course. Just ordered 10 more. I have some other builds I will need them for anyway so I have extra now. Orange car has a chassis issue dragging it down. Need to figure that out now.

Finishing up cars ,bike, and a few things with the track details today. Working on getting garage "race organized" which doesn't take a whole lot of effort. We've had some nasty weather here this week and today is a great day for working on the hobby INSIDE. Just upgraded my computer that I do all my hobby work on to Windows 7. I have been working on getting it set up again because it's also the computer I use for the races. Posting pics and such is similar to XP with a few small differences. I don't want any surprises come raceday. As far as the race goes....we are ready! Cars should be complete by tomorrow. I am really looking forward to seeing all the cars as always.

Looking forward to the race at Bear Creek as always. It is always fun to see all the cars and race them. I will have the slow motion camera setup. We just might get lucky and film something really cool. It doesn't always happen but when it does it is so much fun to see it in slow motion.

Both N/TF cars did very well in the race. Gear plate in the blue F.E.D. has now been thru 2 races without failure and ran in the upper .4's for the whole race. My goal was to get to mid.4's but I'll take that. The gear set up is sound. Not going to be happy till I can run low .4's consistently without failure. I have several months left to test before the Summer Nats.

OK.....the gears are solid and can survive, but what got me into the .4's consistently was the Screaming Eagle motors that I am using in both cars. Running a little more aggressive set up than I have in the past. But I wanted to make sure the gears will take it, so I didn't go too far yet. Eagle Racing winds a sweet motor. My fastest F.E.D. cars use them. That is the next bad boy Eagle motor that will step it up a little more. Might be time for some new bodies too.

Winter Nats is complete. Now to focus on THODRA club racing and customs. I've got to finish the Glidden Pinto for my MM/PS and I have a new 4g Doorslammer custom in the works. It's a '64 Galaxy 500. Might be another turbo car....I'm not sure. This is a great casting from Pceng Engineering and I am lucky enough to have two of these bad boys. One of my favorite body styles.
Also working on a new 4g Top Fueler for one of my club cars. This is a pre painted Eagle Racing wedge dragster casting that I have had for awhile. I need to remove some more material to lighten it and will add some kind of highlights to the paint. Not sure what that will be yet...decals...paint...something. Cool body.
Next THODRA club race is scheduled for mid April. Exact date to be announced.

We had one racer Phantombse that missed the Winter Nationals due to Mother Nature and USPS last weekend. His cars showed up on Tuesday after being lost for several days. There have never been any cars lost during my time proxy racing. They always show up. These cars are super clean so I wanted to give them some lens time while I run them for times per his request. A couple of very clean Stock Tjets.2 of the 3 N/TF entries. Both of these cars were strong running cars. Lots of custom stuff on these. This the 3rd N/TF entry. First time I've seen this car in person. It is beautiful...flawless! I could stare at it for hours! This is an SKR creation. This car is also packed with lots of custom work. I am bummed that they did not get to race, but at least they're not lost anymore.

Finished up the MM/PS Glidden Pinto. Decal source not as good as I wanted, but it was too late to do anything about it. The images became slightly digitized when resizing. Have not had this problem very often, but for these it was an issue. The car still turned out ok though. Next one will be better.
Next up is the wedge dragster. Decided to go with all new paint on it. Club race #2 is scheduled for Friday April 17 at Bear Creek Dragway. Ordered lots of new BSRT parts to tune up my MM/PS cars and to assemble a G3 bracket car from spare parts for the Club. Club racing is the focus going forward.

A new project has unexpectedly hit the AJR garage. This is an early AFX Cuda funny car body that has the detached front axle. I finally found one that was reasonably priced. It seems everybody on Ebay is very proud of their Cudas. Got this one with chassis for $15. Chassis had a mean green in very good condition **BONUS**. This will be converted for the 4G chassis to be legal for the N/FC class. Front axle mounts and factory body mounts will be removed and replaced with post and saddle mounts. I previously did this with my Pinto N/FC. This body has always been one of my favorites. It will also get some custom decals From "Graphics by Gary" that I have been saving for this application. The car in the background is the Pceng Galaxy 500 that I have also been working on.....this car is going to be "SICK". It is still in the body work stages and has a ways to go yet. The wedge TF dragster is currently in the paint booth getting final primer coats. It will get all new paint.

We are multi tasking at AJRacing these days. I made my biggest parts order to date from Scaleauto....which still didn't amount to a lot. Needed some extra parts to put together a G3 car for club Bracket class. Running a stock arm with BSRT 290 motor mags and braids. Runs pretty consistent so far, but I need more time on it for break in. Using an Eagle Racing Ford Pantera body on this one. This is one of my favorite bodies.
