Finished the '55 Chevy Pro Mod. I did some experimenting on this one and learned a lot as well. Happy with the turn out. This one is going to make it to Ebay and will hopefully help get me on the way to an upgraded timing system. That's the plan anyway.

Finally got the 70 Mustang bodywork complete. It is ready for wet sanding and final primer coat. Still need chutes, header dump holes, body mounts, and a couple of fine details. As I said at the beginning of this project, this started out as an AW Carfitti '70 Mustang. The body was stripped in Pine Sol, stock scoop removed and filled in, rear window louvers removed, hood glued in place, scratch built deck wing and snorkle scoop added, headlight holes filled, roof lowered, some of the rocker panel sanded down, and new body parts molded in. The only thing I could have done to bring a little more realism to it would have been to lengthen the front end, but I chose to leave it alone.

A big part of this hobby for the Dog, and as well I'm sure for a bunch of other builders on this site is the step by step process of building a new reality for a car body, to remake it to something you have dreamed about.....
The Dog loves to just sit and look at his projects as he is building them, and think about the next move how to do it, how it will look, than take the next step and move one more step to the finished car....
Good Job Jeff ! May be a blessing, or curse but you defiantly have the custom BUG.

Thank you Randy and Robert! Yes they aren't very appealing to me. This one was green . I don't know Randy.....you and Kdog seem to do exactly what is needed with your AFX/AW builds. I just spied an old AFX Corvette in my junk box the roof is all busted up on that would make a good Super Comp car. Both of you guys have done some beauties with that one. I watch, learn, and try not to copy. Thanks again for the good word.

Nice work, you all are much better with the body work than I am. Even with the 1/1 cars it was never my strong suit. I was always fooling with the motors, trans, gears, etc.

Thanks Dave. I have a good time with it. If I had to choose, I'd rather be fast. I believe you've got that covered!

We will see what happens at the next race as Sam and the rest of you have put a bulls eye on my back, and those arrows are sharp, ouch. I am afraid to touch the Nomad and I have not even cleaned the comm for 2 months now. I did test it again and it is still cooking. Beat up on the Super Tire truck easily.

Just a little Bear Creek Dragway news....... I have pulled the trigger and purchased a Trackmate DP3000HO timing system for the track. I am pumped for sure! Hoping to have the upgrade done by the March proxy race. Thanks to SKR and Dave632 for the positive input that got me to this point and Daniel Groulx from Trackmate for working with me on the new system.

Current projects. A stock 2012 Camaro (unknown casting) for AFX/AW 3 gear and a 1933 Willys Gasser pick up (Hairy Canary resin) for Tjet. These two will go on Ebay when completed. Gotta pay for that timing system . The Camaro has already been painted white with diamond dust glitter blast. This will be the second car that I have used that on. It is a Krylon product and I like the results that I got with it on the '55 Chevy. It really has a lot of texture though and requires multiple coats of clear and color sanding. Still experimenting with it. The truck will be fairly simple and will be OPI lacquer Coca Cola red.
