Thanks Dave! I really appreciate the positive input throughout this project. The computer I am using is nothing special, but is still a bit overkill for the timing system. It's the one I've been using for the hobby over the last several years. I just upgraded to a newer one running Windows 10. I want to play with it more but it will have to wait a few more days. Ended up using the puck lights for the added sensors and they worked out great. I mounted them to my existing overhead fluorescent fixtures. I know you told me in the past but where did you get those infrared lights you showed me. I would like to try some. Dave you have a PM.

Angry Jeff Racing cars for the Ultimate Team Challenge.......
Ford Team entries will be a Pantera and a Gran Torino.
The Twisted Texan Pinto will get the call to go against MPR Freightliner F/C of the New Zealand Team in the Kiwi Challenge. This car is a real road warrior....has made every trip to N.Z....and I believe has the most passes made out of any car in the garage. It's running hot and is ready!

Just finished a new ride.....yet another Hairy Canary resin body. '55 Pro Mod 4g with added scoop per car owners direction. He wanted this particular body with his scoop and the Shake Rattle & Run logo on rear quarter like the 1/1 '57 version. I borrowed a couple of things from the 1/1 car and did what I wanted on the rest. Not perfect......but then again none of my stuff is anywhere near perfect. Testors Candy Apple red with white basecoat. Car has not had clear coat yet in this picture. Need to put some more tuning runs on all the chassis and get them right. Then they all go to Waukegan next week. I have a lot of fun with these projects.

New projects in the Angry Jeff garage. I have added some new equipment to help with my casting as well as obtained some better casting supplies in bulk and have made a couple of new molds this weekend. I am anxious to cast some bodies now to see if the new stuff has helped. I know that is has, I just need to get my method down now. The two resin bodies are 660slots.com C7 Corvette PM and 67-68 Mustang PM......paint projects. I've got some bright colors picked out for these two. The truck is a '73 Chevy Luv that I found and thought it would make a cool 4 gear Doorslammer. We will see if that is true or not. Having to do some bodywork and modifications before I can cast it. With the racing slowing down a little, I am looking forward to getting back to some custom work.

The Luv truck looks like it has some potential. Picked one up at a Big Lots recently and thought it might make a nice slot car body. Keep us posted.

The Pro Mod Luv project is starting to take shape. I've split and widened the rear, added a cover over the bed and base for spoiler, there are no sun roofs in drag racing....so I closed that up, and added a JB Weld front spoiler. I've decided to cast the truck without an engine and allow for different ones to be used. The opening will be blanked off but not closed up. I still need to do the body mounts, rear spoiler sides, mold everything in, and primer.

Jeff that PU is looking good. The job your doing is awesome. Especially working with diecast unless that body is plastic ? This is something you might have already done in the past or have thought about but I thought I would tell you how i found the best way for me to customize those little body's. I'm saying this because you can cast one up first. I strip the diecast and grind all the inside out as good as I can and cast that stock body. That gives me all the body's and body parts to screw up on. The resin is way more easy to work with than die cast or even plastic. It makes moving wheel wells, extending front ends, chopping tops, and endless other stuff way more easy. Plus it gives you a stock body to maybe do something with ? But gives you other options for that body style latter on to. You have probably found that casting can be very addictive and time consuming but well worth all the time spent. If you have any questions on anything feel free to ask. I don't know it all and I'm still learning but I've screwed a lot of stuff up, made a lot of mistakes and wasted a whole lot of time and money so anything I can share to help others is my pleasure. Can't wait to see the finished beast.

Thank you Rick! Yes I plan on modifying most of these in resin. The truck didn't need any major cutting or anything so I just decided to work with it in diecast form. Had to split the tailgate and widen is all. Everything else is just filler. I just got set up with a pressure pot and used it for the first time this weekend. It worked perfectly....the bodies came out virtually blemish free. The Mustang in the background is the 2nd body I cast with the press. pot. I just need to work on my technique now. Also started working with some Smooth On products and am liking them a lot. The possibilities are endless. Thank you very much for the offer of help. Hilltop has given me several tips recently that have me now going in the right direction and saved me a ton of time and $$. I am having fun with it.

Been using the Smooth On products for many years now. Started out with the Aluminite and quickly found out I needed much more working time which they did not offer. Also been using pressure pot for both the mold and the casting itself. What an improvement.
Truck looks good JJ..

Thought I would post this short video here instead of the Race thread. I took some slo mo videos of a few of the list races. My intention was to try and post during the race but I did not have enough time. This one goes too quickly and I'm not very happy with it but I didn't want to wait too long before posting so racers could actually see the results of a few of the races. I ended up putting them into one video, but like I said, it goes too fast. Added some random drag racing sounds so it would not be a silent film . I learned a bunch and will try to apply that to the 4GO video that is upcoming.
Pro Street Outlaw 9 This video includes Round 1 Call Outs for the #1 and #2 spots and Round 2 Call Outs for #1 and #3 spots.
