Hi, I also have the SlotDragon timing system, its really nice for the price. I had the same issues with my Top Fuel Dragsters, I took Your advice and I just moved the Dragsters up a little past the start line and Bingo, Problem solved, thanks, Oh yeah I like Your track. Hey one more thing, Im sure You know by now that slot dragon had a long christmas tree/cable so that you can move the tree real close to the starting line, i have one on my track, works great. have fun racing  |

Yes I did Sam.....It's a software program called Model Builder. Same program that Eagle used at Blacktop. Easy to learn. Mostly model train design plans, but you can design your own which is what I did. Just simple structures. Print, glue to chipboard, cut out and build. Should have paid more attention to paint shop programs when I was younger. Really getting my feet wet on this one and I'm picky , so that doesn't help. Anyway thanks for the good word. Track is ready...just details left. I want to say that I am enjoying all your postings. A wealth of information!

O.K. racers and race fans. The final details have been added to the track and Bear Creek Dragway is officially open and ready to race!!  With the Spring Nationals now less than 2 weeks away, the excitement is high for sure. A few pics of the finished details.
Sponsors have been added to the barrier walls and grandstands were moved into the grass. The background is only for pictures taking. Just used past race banners.
LED lighting is installed the length of the track. That was a fun project.
This is the newly constructed " bullet catcher ". At least I hope to see some bullets...and I think we will. More padding to be added. I've gotten obsessed with all of this. The only things I've been able to think about is the the race, track, or car. Thank goodness I have a good wife!!! Anyway.......we are ready and it looks like it's going to be a good one. Don't be late. Cutoff date for arrivals is Friday March 8th. See you at the race

Just finished construction of the garage and showroom. All winners pics will be taken here. I appreciate all of the good words during the track build. All of my ideas started somewhere on the forum and evolved from there. I'm happy to finally be able to offer some support to the forum. Good luck to everyone at the race!!

Very nice!! Egg crate is spongy enough to catch bullets without damage That's what i use. It's foam and hasn't hurt any of mine or PCeng's cars even the Top Fuel... Can't wait for next weekend and the after pics lol See you at the races |

Thanks Doug. I've got something like eggcrate at the back of the box and some softer stuff in front. Stiil working on that part. Don't want any issues there.
