Just out of the booth....the first '72 Vega Pro Street from Angry Jeff Racing. This one is running a crank driven supercharger and is covered with a metallic orange and pearl white lacquer. This is the first car that I have used a 2 part automotive clear on. There is a little bit of a learning curve with the application. Having some trouble with fisheye when I try to put a wet coat on. Instructions for the big spray gun doesn't necessarily work for the airbrush. I will figure it out. The car still needs chute cords and will be color sanded and a couple more coats of clear applied.

Looks good. Never had a Vega but the engine compartment was big enough for a small block V-8. They came up with some crazy engine design for this car, a non sleeved aluminum 4 cyl. block, which failed a lot, with an iron head? Just think if they had come from the factory with a V-8. What a car that would have been.

I was doing some last minute tuning to my 4GO car and decided to tweak one of my unlimited 4 gear FED's and see what I could get out of it. I developed an all brass...Tjet type cluster and crown gear set up a couple of years ago. This design keeps the top plate stock gear ratios and configuration, but utilizes the split cluster gear of the Tjet. Crown is a 20t silicon bronze. Lots and lots of testing...experimenting...failure...more failure went into this project before settling on this set up. It has proven to be durable. Soooooo I put some stronger motor mags in it and this was the initial result. I say initial because there is more in it . Made 5 runs back to back. .45, .45, .43, .42, .42. I stopped there. I believe this is the fastest I've seen a 4 gear go. .4242et / 32.16mph @ 26v.

Nice going Jeff. That is by far the fastest 4G I have seen. Personally I thought the T jet cluster gear set up is superior to the stock 4G. That is what I used in the Frankenstein Mustang and so far it is holding up quite well. We will soon see if it holds up in the challenge races.

This is the set up in both of my unlimited cars and they have a lot of runs on them. I know it will take it. If anything fails at this point, it will probably be the JB Weld that I used to bond the crown to the axle. I think I can get into the .3's.......it would do that right now on your track. I will play with it some more after the race. The Mustang looks pretty solid and I am looking forward to seeing it run. I think I have something for it now when we run our Match. I think that will be the first time a race like that with the different voltages has been run. It will be cool.

Sounds great, can't wait. The Jet ran slightly better than that but that was here. Should be a good race. I see another challenge coming in April. Hope the Little monster holds up for both match races. The crown gear on that is glued on also.

The making of a truck.........
Yeah I know....I know.....lots of trucks coming out of AJR these days. That will come to an end after a couple more builds....at least for a little while. The '52 Chevy Pro Mod truck will be the next to get molded when master is completed. Started another build this weekend that will follow the same pattern of Street version first then Pro Mod. This will be the 1/64 replica of my 1/1 1964 C10. I used the cab from a cast body and the stepside bed from an '56 Chevy Hot Wheels. The stepside beds are the same from 1955 - 1966. I will need to widen the bed about 1/16" so it will fit the 4 gear chassis, but the "marriage" looks like it is going to work perfectly. Pro Mod version of this truck will resemble Fast Freddy's Pro Mod C10.

Looking good cuzzo! I have had my Dodge Ram like my truck on the bench for quite a while. How about you finish yours and I finish mine and we race... How about we run the new DR1 chassis under it with a mountain motor pro stock rule set up.....What say you.... ?

Let's see how things go and I will have to get back to you in this. I have another DR-1 that I just received, but I had other plans for it. Thanks for the good word.
