Outstanding layout! I wish I had a little more space on each side of my track. Mine is against a wall in the garage. Anyone know of place where they make grandstand & race relative wall decals? This way I can get a little scenery. Here is some track decor that GTS made available to all of us while building Good Times Speedway. Scroll halfway down the page to see the images and and the links. nitroslots.com/thread/4495/good-time-speedway-eastern-washington?page=9Also hoslotcarracing.com has affordable lightweight track structure kits and free downloaded track sponsor images. On main page go down to "Landscaping" then "Structures" and also "Billboards". I have the Grandstand kit on my track and for the price it is well worth it. hoslotcarracing.com/

The twin turbo fox body and the 57 projects are ready for clear. Now this is where my heart rate goes up because I have been having horrible issues with my clear coats recently. The latest is with my decals bubbling up under the lacquer clear. I spent extra time making sure the decals were set properly and am going to try and "seal" them with a light coat and let that dry. Hopefully it works out.
The Mustang will take some extra sanding and buffing work. The red has an aggressive metallic in it and added some slight texture. I will lay down enough clear to be able to sand it smooth and either buff it or reapply the clear. I love this body.
The '57 will be done after the clear coat as long as I don't screw it up. I'm really happy with this car. I used some small fake gems for the headlights. I'm going to do more of that.

The last two projects I posted are still not completely done, but I started on this one for one of the forum racers as a trade. Almost done. It needs windows installed and then clear coat. 660slots.com orange and black 1969 Plymouth Superbird just in time for Halloween .

Well I guess I was lucky to have my Photobucket pictures till now. I never had a many pictures there and thought that is why I wasn't affected by their "picture hostage scheme". But that was wishful thinking because all pictures on pages 1 - 20 are now blurred out. That really should not be legal in my opinion. I'm small time, but I know there were many many people that lost a lot of pics, etc. I do not rely on these entities for picture storage, I keep all of my pictures on my computer. But to go back and repost all of them is a daunting task. It's sad because all of the forum nostalgia has been lost to Photobukit! I switched to Flikr long ago and have been very happy with them, but last year they started charging for their service. It was $34.95yr....I thought ok that's not too bad. Well this year it's $49.99yr. I have to say I'm a little concerned....$15 increase in one year. Seems to me that I'm at their mercy. I don't know what would happen to my existing pictures if I didn't renew.

Seems like they set the trap and then spring it. At least Flickr still has 1000 for free. Most of my important ones are on my computer but many from races in the past were lost thru Photo losers.

I've got the parts laid out for an unlimited Tjet build.Been wanting to do one for quite awhile, but just never got around to it. I recently received a "unicorn" and that prompted me to start the build. I wanted to have it ready for Dave's race but that obviously did not happen.....maybe next time. The "unicorn" is an aluminum 15t crown gear. That should take anything that I want to throw at it. This an all metal gear train! I have a choice of two Screaming Eagle motors that are both just above 2ohms. This little dude is going to run at 26v. I want to be able to use whatever magnet and low ohm arm I want and those need volts and amps. 26v is our normal voltage for unlimiteds. I also only have two pair of silifoams on hand....one big pair and another smaller set. I have no idea what size it's going to want. Always wanted to try shunted brushes?? Don't know if they will work or not. This will be an ongoing project but for now I just want to try to establish a good baseline. Lots and lots of stuff can be done. I will post my findings. This is a first for me....let's see if I can come close to any unlimited Tjets that will be running in Tennessee?? I know Dave's stuff is fast. Also have 3 bodies to choose from.......'57 Corvette, Willys truck, or a Henry J. Not sure which one gets the call?

I'm not going to deal with any lightening on the chassis or gears right now. Going to work with the chassis and gears as they are. As I get more into the project I will start doing those types of things. I don't want to start hacking on this chassis right off the bat. My initial focus is going to be in the brush area and brush pressure specifically. I have no script that I am following. The weak links will show themselves when it starts making passes.
