If you wet sand your finish, you may want to shoot straight clear for a final coat. Prevent sanding into a flake.

Finished up the Christmas Giveaway car and now moving on to the next project. This is a 1970 Chevelle Station Wagon. It has already been sprayed with a HOK Orion Max silver basecoat. I'm staying with the flame theme that I've been doing on the last few cars. Experimenting with some color...sheen...flake combos. I'm using the old school style flames. I'm not sure who cast this particular one. I found it in my stash.

Funny thing right there gave me a flash back of a silver wagon my dad's friend had when I was young. Looked like he'll but that car ran. Guys name was Tim, I can't tell you how many times I seen him sucker someone into racing him.

1970 Chevelle Station Wagon for 4g chassis (not sure who cast this one). China Glaze lacquer polish with Automotivetouchup.com ready to shoot clear. This was a requested custom for a lady racer.

Sharp looking wagon! Thanks for the link for the clear! Hey Bill, Rick turned me on to them awhile back. They have GREAT products and are affordable! I use their sandable primer as well and it is really good. FYI.

Guessing you are using the ready to spay lacquer clear. Have you tried the spray cans?

Guessing you are using the ready to spay lacquer clear. Have you tried the spray cans? Yes I started with the rattle can and am using the ready to spray through the airbrush now. Both worked great. I also have the clear pen but I haven't used it yet. This is what I'm using currently. This is their product line that Rick was using. He sent me this pic. I was able to order everything online and definitely will continue to use them.

I didn't even get a chance to say how good I think it came out. Eye popper right there.

I'm a little late but Looking Pretty Awesome Jeff. Lovin the colors and stance. Nothing better than a lowered wagon. Glade you like the Automotivetouchup products. I finally tried the ready to spray clear that I've had forever and love it cuz its so easy and it looks good too. It's not as good as the 2 part urethane clear but pretty close and way easier to use.

Trying to keep going with some customs. I have a couple of new ones on the desk that I'm starting to do some prep on. A Fast Freddy Pro Mod '66 Chevy C10 3D print from Hairy Canary and a modern Pro Mod Cadillac 3D print from Eagle Racing. Both of these are for the 4g chassis. These are hands down the best 3D prints I have seen! Thank you guys!
