I have a question oh great one. I am making some silli foam tires for some of our racers. The tire width is stated as .28125 or .281. My question is that just tire width or does that include the wheel also. For example the tire width is correct but on a delrin wheel hub the rear flange adds thickness and makes it wider than .281 over all width.

Would like to enter two for each class. . . You are on the list at lucky #13 and #14 for both classes. Welcome to the race.! . . . Ques. on T&T - if I can get my sh...tuff together in time for T&T can I send three cars of one class to determine best ? Just thinking ......... tia .......... PC The fee sent with your car(s) is to cover return postage. The racemaster has final say, but I would think as long as postage is covered for all cars that there would be no problem.

My question is that just tire width or does that include the wheel also. For example the tire width is correct but on a delrin wheel hub the rear flange adds thickness and makes it wider than .281 over all width. Very good question. Searched through the bulletins to see if any addressed this issue but did not find anything. I would think that the use of limitations on tire size is purely a matter of performance and not so much appearance. Base on that train of thought, it would seem the rules specifications with regard to tires is directed to the tire itself and not the wheel. Hope this helps.

The only NTRA class with this tire width (.28125), I believe is the "Rat" class. May be wrong on this, think the width is listed as 9/32's. Don't remember this size for anything else. Gassers allow sili-foams, N/FC are slip-ons, are these tires for the gassers? Have to check rules and see if I missed a listed width for tires.

.......Yep found the .28125 under gasser rules, don't remember seeing that before. Thought that the widths stated were to keep tires from extending to far from body.

Ninjatek I think I was a little too ambitious when I signed up. I'm going to need to remove my Gasser entries for this race. I am not going to have enough time to do those builds. I will still have the 2 entries for nf/c. We don't see enough Fords in the mix, so I'm sending a Pinto and Mustang for this one. Looking forward to it. Also.....where can I find some info. on hosting a race. I have a track about to be under construction. Thanks.

Your Gasser entries have been grayed (holding your spots just in case you are able to get one in). You are still on list for NF/C class. Sent you a PM with hosting information.

Just hit me this morning as to the date. Anyone going to make it for Test & Tune scheduled for Monday? If you haven't signed-up for the the race, there is still time. Big race weekend not until November 3rd & 4th. You know big things always happen at RickV's Lions Drag Strip. Well, to start with, this is the last opportunity to be entered into the Prize Pool Bonanza in which some lucky winner will become the proud owner of "The Mercenary". Also, at least two Top Fuel Dragsters will be given away. There's more, but we don't want you to enter just in hopes of winning a prize, we want you to enter because you enjoy HO drag racing and building HO cars. So if you haven't gotten started yet, what are you waiting for? Sign-up, start building, do something!
