Ninja,
Sorry I waited so long, but was waiting for some parts, that never cam in.
We are in Georgia. Cold and rain, but so far everything is still running. They will leave out this morning on an overnight trip.

The California Highway Patrol has issued a traffic warning for heavy congestion at the Alameda St. off-ramp on the San Diego Freeway. It appears that the cause is a long line of haulers and transporters lined up at the pit entrance to Lions Drag Strip. The ace Lions crew has logged in 15 Gassers and 14 Nostalgia Funny Cars with one more day to go. We dispatched the lovely Aurora Divine and her trusty Kodak camera to get the story. Here's the rundown of early arrivals for the 2012 NTRA World Finals. JJWallace's rig made the long tow from Texas with a pair of Ford Nostalgia Funny Cars. EagleRacing was also hauling westbound on I-10. He arrived with a pair of very trick Camaro N/FCs and a flamed '57 Chevy -- along with a truckload of bodies, decals, and tires for prizes. Thanks, EagleRacing! The third Texas terror is the Slotfather. He's in with a pair of Willys in the Gasser class and a pair of Mustangs in N/FC. Kbuck arrived with a very sweet Henry J Gasser and a sharp-looking Grand Am N/FC. Wazzer brought a full house for the Finals: a mean-looking black Willys pickup and a yellow coupe for Gas class, and a pair of Vegas in N/FC. To be continued . . .

More arrivals for the NTRA World Finals at Lions Drag Strip! Even a Chevy guy has to admit that Falcon's Falcon Gasser and his Blue Max Mustang Funny Car are two great looking race cars! Tasman turned up with a sharp-looking '33 Willy Gasser and an unusual Fox-body Mustang N/FC. TGM2054 has a trio of entries for the Finals -- an orange Willys Gasser, an orange Omni, and a two-tone Corvette N/FC. PCEng is a long-time supporter of NTRA drag racing, and he's back with an Anglia and a Falcon in the Gasser division and a pair of Cudas in N/FC. Keeping the Nitroslots forum going is nearly a full-time gig, but Ninjatek still found the time to build a pair of classic Gassers for the Finals. Jimrussell is making his first appearance at Lions with a flamed Willys Gasser and a deep purple 'Stang in N/FC. PCEng is a veteran Lions racer. This time he brought a high-and-mighty Anglia and a high-riser Falcon in the Gas category to complement his pair of Cudas in N/FC. The line at the pit gate is still growing, so we'll be back with more arrivals on Friday. Racemaster Rick and the Lions

The gang's all here, and it's time to race! Phyllis the Mail Lady and Al the UPS Guy made their deliveries today, and the pit gate at Lions Drag Strip is now closed. Charley, Dragfool, and Johnforce made it just in time. Here's Aurora Divine's pictorial report: First through the gate today was Charley, all the way from Georgia with a flatbed loaded with two Gassers -- a Willys and a supercharged '57 Chevy shoebox -- and a Vega NFC. Next in was Dragfool with a pair of the prettiest NFC's we've seen at Lions, a Pinto and a Vega. If they run as good as they look, the rest of you NFC racers could be in trouble. And our final entry is Johnforce -- not in his usual nitro Funny Car, but driving a sano candy apple red Willys panel. The final car count is 18 Gassers and 17 Nostalgia Funny Cars. That means that tomorrow's qualifying session is going to be a shootout for the 16 spots in final eliminations. Keep in mind that Lions is on Left Coast time, and Aurora needs her beauty sleep, so be patient -- results will be posted when they're ready. Good luck to all, Racemaster Rick and the Lions
