Got all my parts cleaned and ready, except little left on motors. I am looking forward to the NT/F race. It is my favorite, you just never know what the racers in this class may come up with......

Just finished up Doug 412 , 4g . Had brought it to him last week........ put it on track , went a foot and zzzzzzz........ wasn't the crown like I thought....... cluster gear and strap were getting pushed up......... strap fastened under screw for brass idler had just layed on chassis in rear......... never a problem before , but never the torque from a 3.2 before. New clip/strap , made from two plate clips...... wraps around top plate and clips to it ............ screwed down through eliptical hole so gear tension can be adjusted.....
IM DONE........ rest is up to the ghouls at MHD........ leaves like a shot at 13v........ smooth & quuuuuiiiiet........ gonna like this one , buddy !

With some time before next race took look at feds. Problem with raill job looks to.be lifting of front of chassis from track when body is attached to chassis......... might be time for new body. Roadster had me puzzled after last race....... should have been way faster. Thought brushes but before I got to them I put chassis on test track & held rear up to run & listen. Don't know how it got down track....... right rear tire was expanding at about 2/3 throtle. Slip-on tires had been glued. Half of tire was still holding but other half was whomping track. Tires are tight on wheels tried on other cars no problem........... reglued with bed of super glue. See what happens in TX. next month.

Just made a Lucky Bob's order yesterday to repair my damaged #2 FED after the big crash at Blacktop Raceway. Also picked up some brass tubing for bushings on the gearplate to help tighten things up. Going to fly in September.

I haven't had mine on the track since the finals against your car. I did notice one of my rear tires is rubbing the body a little bit. Probably going to change out the muffler bearings on the Altered and try to get my slingshot running. Looking forward to your event.

I have been so excited to run my F.E.D. cars again that I freshened up an old one before the rest of the crew got back from the Summer Nationals. Word on the street is a brand new F.E.D. team is going to debut in Texas for the Labor Day Nationals.

Starting one of my FED builds today. These are always so much fun to do. The class progresses so quickly it is amazing. One race you may have the fastest Nostalgia Top Fuel the next race not so fast, gotta love it.

Dang it.......I forgot about ordering new muffler bearings....lol. Thanks Sam we are looking forward to it as well. Only a month away!! Those muffler bearings are getting harder to find since they are installing them in all the new cars from Asia. I have been working hard on my pool game in my spare time since I am going to Vegas for a big tournament in two weeks. When I get back I will install my new Flatzenhammer valve which should get me the performance I am looking for and hopefully have some cars ready for the next race.
