Not really a call out to dave632 but I do hear him saying who doesn't want to go faster, well N/TF is the ultimate challenge in the quest for speed. I have been in love with N/TF from my start here on Nitroslots, never won the class but I have had tons of fun trying. Dave just give it a try, no it's not easy but if it was everyone would be doing it. Maybe that's why everyone likes inlines, they're easier.

I would have to agree trying to make those 4 gears go fast is a real challenge you have to redesign the whole chassis. Sure inlines are easier since you don't have to change nearly everything around to get it to run even decent. It's a big challenge because without tons of changes they run like garbage. If I want to go faster I go with the better, by far, design. Why start a race with an anchor tied to your foot? Also you are running them at 26 volts which is a giant step over the 20 volts I was running at the Outlaw race and they are still way slower. At that voltage and running on 2 car batteries I could spot one of your best 4 gears 1/2 the track and beat it with my Inlines. How's that for a challenge a 7' spot on a 15' track?? I noticed there were only 2 4 gears entered in the Outlaw AFX race. Where were all the hot 4 gears there?? Those were not inlines but the superior 3 gear design which would have kicked the butt of any 4 gear that dared to enter and NO changes had to be made to the gear assembly those times were all done with easily available parts not things you have to build yourself. You give me a challenge with only a few weeks before the race and you guys have been working on them for years.

My 4gear Outlaws are built to run on at least 24 volts with a min of 10 amps so no I didn't send them in Jan. Running at such low volts would have been like running regular pump gas in your Pro Mod.

You give me a challenge with only a few weeks before the race and you guys have been working on them for years. Jeez........I have to post. Let me make this simple.......no challenge......just an invitation to try it out. You are not the only person that I have had contact with about racing this class so don't make this all about yourself. If you can do it great. If not then no worries. Dave it is obvious that you do not like 4 gears and that's ok too. But I am tired of you dogging them out. I don't go around dogging out the other chassis because I have respect for those that like them and in my mind they're all good. Some just better than others. I personally didn't race your outlaw classes because I did not have the budget to build all new cars for your race. Not one of your classes was one that I had previously run. It was also the holidays. My 4g unlimiteds are fast.......against other 4g. They are also built to run at 26v not 20v. As I said before, your heads up comparisons carry no weight. We do not run them against each other. You have turned this into something ugly. Phantoms original "double dog dare" was just an attempt to get you into a very popular and innovative class...in a fun way. No bad intentions there. If this is going to taint my event then I want no part of it. If you want easier then continue to build your 3 gears. If you want a challenge and the opportunity to fabricate and innovate then give this a try but whatever you do please do it with a positive attitude. I would definitely like to build and unlimited 3g car, but my focus is on the classes being run this year at the events I've chosen to run. Hope we can all get back to a harmonious existence here.

Just had an idea Dave. I will not be able to do it for my race, but a 3 gear unlimited Match race at the Summer Nats might be a possibility. Now that is not my event, so it is not up to me, but I've always wanted to do one of those builds. I'm sure you would consider that. It would be fun. Also not previously discussed......I am running 2 other classes at the Winter Nats that are right up your alley. Stock Tjet and Pro Street. Hope you will join in those classes regardless of the N/TF class. Summer Nats are still many months away so plenty of time. How's all that sound??

Harmony, Jeff mentioned. Would be nice. Maybe all of us need to take a breath instead of offense to anothers opinion. And let things slide at times instead of escalating situation. Just let it go.

gotta wrap my head around 2lam , bye for now.......

Sounds good to me and I plan to enter the other 2 classes at the next race. I will even try to get one or 2 of the NTF cars ready if possible. Like I mentioned in another post I just bought 12 new bare chassis and top plates for 4 gears.. Did not think in any way this was getting ugly. This is the smack talking thread is it not? Did not take the Double dog dare as anything but a fun comment. I was also coming back with a challenge of my own. If it 's OK with the racemaster at the next race we can send an Unlimited 3 gear in for the next race and have a match. Then do it again later in the year so that the loser has a chance for revenge. It should be interesting for all to see how it goes.

Since some are taking it way to serious I will stop knocking the 4 gear. Hope this gets everybody's blood pressure down. I will do my talking on the track. Did not want to upset anybody and never thought anyone would get upset over something like that. Smack talk, yes all day, I have no problem with that. Do your best. I used to ride the Rice Burners a lot on car sites in the past. For some reason none ever took up any challenges I presented.
