If you accept that challenge remember it will be like my Pro Mod against your Mini Van. or a Top Fuel car to a Pro Comp Beretta. Well, since you are Mr. Inline Pro Builder how about we run an unlimited run what you brung on 26 Volts at the next race? of course I do not have the parts it takes to get into the .2's so I guess that puts me behind the 8 ball. Jeff, would you be up to running another class or grudge match?

Take the half track.......... cars that did .2's on 20v will br faster on 26v
But whats the point ?

That's a good comparison too. By no means a Pro. Just did some research that's all. Yes, by all means, as long as they are able to stop cars running that fast we can have a grudge race. I have not turned up the voltage here because of stopping problems. With 7.5' which includes 3' of bar stock and a catch box they are hitting the stop box going in the 20-25 mph range. Body screw post broke off one of the resin cars is the only damage so far + a few AFX bodies getting knocked off the chassis but that's it. If they are running 2 batteries, which = hundreds of amp,s I would predict speeds in the 70+ mph range at 26 volts. Have no idea what happens there since I have never tried it. Surely might crack a few bodies Like Peter said we are running .2s on 20v. If it holds together at 26 volts with 100s of amps available I think it's possible to hit very low .2s or possibly .1s. The cars are just a quick blip now, you can hardly see them. Going even faster would be a total blurr. Traction could become a big problem with such power. I am planning to install 2 30 amp power supplies, one for each lane, in the future as 2 of the hot ones running with 2 10 amp supplies in parellel hurt the performance quite a bit.

Outlaw 4G's are too slow and now you want to limit an Outlaw Inline class to 20V? I thought we had some drag racers here that liked to push the limits of each build... guess I was wrong You guys crack me up Cheers!

sometimes riding folks about their own favorite rides comes across the wrong way. I drag race all kinds of HO slot cars and occasionally other scales too. I have had the fastest slot cars in outlaw classes in several scales. trash talk is just THAT, trash. I never had to put another racer or his choice of entry down verbally. I let my cars do my talking. when it comes to apples and oranges there is no discussion because there just isn't. my fastest inline outlaws will dust my fastest pancake outlaws every time. but there is a complete, inherent difference in the top end capacity of each of those chassis designs.
I too was hesitant to build a car for 20 volts. and I wouldn't run any of my existing outlaws at that voltage.
a comparison has been made about trying to run a high compression internal combustion engine without the proper amount of octane. and I think any motor head would NOT do that.
yes getting someones goat for fun is Ok and just THAT, FUN. but challenging someone's preference of competition category is something else entirely.
just like some jokes, .... if it has to be explained, it is no longer funny.

I really think its time to put this discussion on the outbound hauler and channel our efforts toward BEAR CREEK!
It is not that far off.

Ah, putting words in my mouth. Never said any such things.
But if I did have a car that did .2's. I'd spot you half track and run on 20 to your 26v. That would be close at the finish.:-) Think it would even give 4g advantage. Maybe ;-)

Yeah I think its time to put this whole thing to bed. Blown way out of proportion. Reading things into this that were never said. This has been taken way too seriously. I promised to stop bashing the 4 gears as I said and I stick to my word. It also makes little sense to me to race something I do not like so I will sell all those 4 gears I bought and not run anything with 4 gears in it. I just bought a batch of ball bearings too but I can use them in other cars. I will stick with the 3 gears and inlines. Anybody wants to challenge me to a race with those type cars lets have at it.

The old Aurora 4 gears, bare chassis and top plate with only the cluster gear.

I do have provisions for unlimited shut down in the works. Need to do some construction to get it done. I want no limitations on what I can run...whether I ever run anything that fast or not. Just won't be complete before the race.

That's funny...
I was planning on jumping into the 4 gear thing with both feet but not anymore.
