When dark for a moment, but I'm back! Had some family issues to deal with. I was quite surprised with the win in N/TF. Expected to do well provided the gear held up, but did not expect to take it all. Believe it or not, all of the time went into my Gasser's, boy what dogs they turned out to be. The credit for the N/TF win should go to Eagle Racing's Speed Shop for providing the custom wind armature and custom top plate with the metal gear. I ended up using an AFX MT crown gear, not because I'm brilliant but it was all I had. To use the MT crown gear you have to sand down the spacer on the back of the crown to get it to fit properly. I sent it in not expecting it to last more than qualifying, as it was pretty eat up when I sent it. Just goes to show anybody can win. Or maybe I'm on a roll, that's two class wins this year after nearly five years of proxy racing and only making semi-finals once. Thanks for the accolades. Congrats to all the other finalist. Big thanks to the Racemaster and crew of Drag City USA for running our cars. Thanks to all of the participants that made it to the race and those of you who tried. Very nice coverage of the event with great commentary and photos. And the sponsors, gotta' love the sponsors. They just keep on comin' through. When it comes to parts and supplies for your hobby needs, check the bottom of the home page and give our sponsors first consideration. Great event everyone! And now it is time to move on to the next one. Coming up rather quickly is the OPEN TRACK event to be held at Maple Grove Dragstrip May 4. Here you can get in some test runs and comparisons. Also featured will be OPEN STOCK (4G) racing. Registration for this event to open today. Get your questions answered and sign up.

Just a heads up on the crown gear in the 4 gear chassis. I believe the older chassis, the Aurora, had a 15t crown. The newer A/W has a 17t crown. Both are a weak gear. For a stronger gear use either a 15t from a Magana Traction/ X Traction or a 17t from a newer T/J 500. If your putting this in a newer chassis you'll have to open the window in the top plate for clearance.

Hey Sam, Just to let you know, Fed bod was cracked just under front of engine. LOL........ no matter kinda enjoy the fact it moved fast enough to hit something hard enough in that distance to break the body. Was hanging by a thread, I doused it with super glue. See what happens to it next time! LOL........ maybe need to send spare body next time. That's racing right! .........love this sh.tuff.
...........thanks again for the racing, Peter

I was thinking that pceng. But Im goin to use it as it is for. I have plans made out to build a Rail FED for the FED class. Im find parts for it now and figuring other things out on it still. Only thing holding me up right now is finding an engine to use and build the rails around.
