Day two of the 2014 WINTER NATIONALS begins with a couple of pics and a recap of yesterdays events. We had some good racing in the Gassers. There were no real upsets and things went about how it looked like they would. The fastest 2 cars are in the Finals and both picked it up in their semi final race. We will check both cars and track before finals and each will get a good warm up. Gasser and Bracket finals will be run after Bracket eliminations. I liked the way the day ended with the match races yesterday, so we will end the show with them. O.K.....that's it for the recap....we have another full day of racing. There will be some great Bracket match ups today. Good luck to everyone!!

Pretty N Pink asked us to make a few test runs with her Altered N/TF. This is a really cool car and fast. It is running .515 ET even doing what you will see in the video. We decided to do another slow motion video for fun, and realized what a great diagnostic tool it is.

Boy does that DIT worksheet look familiar!
Alert - You have my red panal listed as a bracket car.
The bracket racer is the yellow and white Willys Coupe.

You guys got started early. Hope the teams were given wake up calls, before any were called to line up. Looking forward to the rest of the event. Or should I say extravaganza ?
Hey Dennis, paint sounds intresting, maybe you could post something under new products with any info or thoughts on use you might have. Remember seeing flakes at store but didn't have time for closser look. Appreciate any info you could pass along.

It was just the description....the Willys is running. Same as what happened to Pceng. Your description was omitted and when I added it, I put the wrong description in. Typo........sorry. Race 1 Jimrussell has the slower car and will leave first. SKR will have to show some discipline to resist leaving early. He gets a good light, but breaks out running a .510 on a .529 DIT and gives the win to Jimrussell running a 1.290.
Race 2 TGM gets a huge headstart on this one. Both cars break out in this race, but Doug breaks out less and wins running a .880. Doug412 is moving on.
Race 3 These cars are evenly matched. Nosubfor3 gets a great light with a .503rt to KS1933's .538. The Camaro is moving onto the next round with a .669 to KS1933's .712. Close race!!
Race 4 The drivers are on today as once again both cars get good lights. The yellow Willys has got his times figured out and runs closest to his dial in and wins. R&D Racing 1.713 to Ninjatek's 2.086.

Race 5 This was an easy win for Pceng. JJWallace red lights with the Mustang and hands the win to the sled. Pceng .803 to a losing .844 for JJ.
Race 6 Both cars are pretty close in times. Dragfool launches, deslots, crosses center line , and ends up in the staging area on his top. I hope hes o.k. Ninjatek's white sled motors past and takes the win light. Ninja .776.
Race 7 R&D is the slower car and leaves first but has slowed in his times. JJWallace takes the win on this one running a .715 to R&D's 2.257.

Sorry bout that, don't know how I did it................. that shot of race 7 hurts seeing that good looking car upside down. Hurts my eyes trying to see it right......... lots of good looking cars........
Cordell, when you get the chance. What kind of chassis do you have in the Merc, think that's what the white car is ?

Race 8 Eagle's 40 Ford gets this win on a holeshot running a .907et to Kiwidave's Willys .850.
Race 9 They pull to the line......E. Chicks launch, deslot, and slide to a stop. Pceng motors by.......hey ....it looks like he waved??? Pceng runs an .801 and puts the defending bracket champs #2 car on the trailer.
Race 10 Kiwidave's driver is late, but it doesn't matter. E. Chicks run 3 thousandths off their DIT and take the win with a .758 to Kiwidave's .886.
Race 11 KS1933 slows way down on this one??? But luck is on his side as Nosubfor3's Firebird breaks out running a .742 giving KS1933's red car (Edsel/Studie) the win with a .891.

Hey Jeff, want to say the lights look great going down the track. But their reflections, especiially on long shots, make the pics pop........ Nice shots..............
