Got my first ever Leadsled body on it's way and building my 3rd ever tjet chassis. Don't expect to be fast, but it will come. Need more parts.....isn't that ALWAYS the case though. I know that inline is the way to go but unfortunately I don't have anything other than my MM/PS (not touching those) and 4 G+ cars from back in the day. So I will probably be running a pancake of some sort. Have some ideas to work out. Might turn out pretty well. We will see. Doug those bumper stickers are very cool. I am a sticker freak. Have one spot left to fill on my timing computer. I hope to get one of the stickers for that. Looking forward to it and keep us updated with some of your track pics.

Aren't we all a little out of our minds?? You are inspiring me to try some casting of my own. Just don't want to get too many things going at once. Was going to work on some airbrushing, etc. in the downtime this year, but it doesn't look like there will be any downtime....lol. Gotta love it!! That's ok if there aren't enough stickers to go around. Hey...I'm working on a Hairy Canary roadster body that I want to get finished and send in for a giveaway...maybe a few other little items to go with it. Trying to make this one really nice. I know every little bit helps. Thanks.

Thanks Jeff, the painted body (know you do good work) and others things be appreciated. Doug, will get "Angry Jeff " on the poster. Sam, kinda put the kabash on any rest this year....... lol. If you have time to experiment with air brush. Try this on scrap piece....... hold tip right to scrap piece and hit spray real quick. Little blip...... hold tip a different angles for different effects. Friend used to call them co.trolled splats. He did some wild paint jobs like this.

Painted one of my many 57 Chevy wagons black so it looks more hearse like. It is now ready for the upcoming race. Tested at 13v and it seemed to run OK. Ordered a 59 Caddy hearse for the race, should be ready soon.

That Monte Carlo mold is done & Monte # 4 is in the mold.
Hoped to start doing this a year ago but life got in way....... wanted to give away some different type bodies. Ones you do not see often. 69 Super Bee was brought up about a year ago , hope everybody from NJ that might still want one gets to the race. Cast 5 types of bodies ....... the Super Bee's, 50ish Buicks & Mercurys, a 32 Ford coupe and the 80 Monte Carlo . Started thinking should they be doled out randomly or by what I think individuals might like. Could not decide so EVERYBODY THAT ATTENDS RACE WILL GET ONE OF EACH ! Figure you'll find one out of the bunch.you like. Be other give aways also, Doug should be posting something soon.

Was not trying to scare anybody away with the tech, etc. Surely do not want to scare any new racers away. I have to agree it takes a lot of test and tuning to get these cars to go quicker and if you are persistent you will get there. I do think however the more information you have will get you to your goal faster. In defense of the new system I ordered it is capable of running a bracket race which you can run a stock T jet against the fastest inline and still have a chance for a win. This race would be perfect for a beginner. I have to once again quote the full size car racers who are going quicker by using information gathered by computers and sensors mounted on their race cars so that they can download and read the information after the run. Dave I don't think you're scaring anyone away. Those are informative discussions for someone looking to upgrade or just wondering how the timing systems work. I'm constantly learning things. FYI........we have run 3 bracket races through the forum. Two were earlier this year and all were run what you brung. You are right in that those could be appealing to the beginner racer....and everyone else. Do we want to do all bracket races? I don't think so, but it did seem like a good fit. A LOT more work though.

When the new system arrives, I will see how much trouble it is to enter a pre determined ET for each car. They do it all the time at the drags so I don't think it is that tough. Bracket racing was never my favorite either but it has it's place. Heads up racing = big bucks in full size car racing. I remember one guy who was running in the Pro Mod ranks had a 10 million dollar budget for one season of racing. He did land prep for big housing projects. Started with nothing and built up to 50M a year business. He sure was not winning every race so many of the others must have deep pockets too.
