Thanks guys. Running and seeing all the cars in person is a lot of fun. We sure had a blast running them all and once again thanks to all who attended. Doing all the reporting and posting of the pictures takes gobs of time and patience but the experience was good. Your cars will be heading back home in the coming week along with a few little prizes for all. Track and timing system worked flawlessly. Every car ran with few problems. My TQ car had one of its rims start to slip on the axle. Really surprising since I have had few problems with BSRT parts. It is making a lot of power however so some trouble can be expected. Ate some of the gears when I was preparing these cars, and was having a lot of trouble at those speeds keeping rear tires on even with glue, but never had a rim do that. The 3 50mph cars are clones except for the bodies but they still ran slightly different and on different days one was quicker than the other. Don't yet know why they slowed slightly in the race but I will figure it out.
You have to see those things coming at you at 50 from the finish line. They were hitting the catch box hard despite the decent shutdown and metal stop strips. Never damaged anything but the bodies on those 50+ did come off occasionally. They are only held on by the stock factory AFX clips though.

I guess I should also congratulate my son on his win in the first race he ever entered. He has taken an interest and will be one to watch in the future. I surely helped him with the build and without him I could never have run the brackets. I must admit there were a few whoops when one of the cars we were driving won in the brackets and none of our cars were in it. In almost every run we were within .02 of each other on the tree so as drivers we were a great match. When I was running the Pro Mod Beretta I had a practice tree program that I used and believe me you can improve your reaction time. Like I said we practiced running bracket races and the hardest thing was having the faster car and hearing the other car roaring down the track and keeping you finger off the trigger. The blinder helped stop that problem.

Cars are heading back tomorrow. Everyone will get a Certificate of participation with winners getting a larger Top Eliminator Certificate. All get some race prizes. Just wanted to mention LUCKY BOB again as we did not have his name on the flyer since the gift certificates arrived to late. Winners will receive their gift certificates with their cars. You all are welcome and we had a lot of fun racing and posting. It was fully a 3 day job but we will be running again in the future. I was just looking over the results again and I noticed the quickest and slowest ETs of the bracket race were represented in the final. Both broke out with the winner breaking out the least.
